STOCKTON — Several bullets struck an unmarked police car Friday night when officers came under heavy gunfire while patrolling a south Stockton neighborhood, authorities said.
The gunshots sparked an intense manhunt that resulted in the arrest of one man and three teens, police said. According to authorities, 22-year-old Lawaun Marshaun McDonald, two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and other crimes.

That area is 100% Black and has been since the early 1950’s or before. In 1952 my buddy and I drove up and down those streets and sold Carp fish, just that one day. We were perfectly safe then. The Carp were given to us by Calif. Fish and Game for helping clean a reservoir canal. To sell the remaining fish we went into skid row and some Black bars. Bad move. We were not harmed, but were let know that we were not welcomed.

When I was a kid, everyone, of all races, knew the rules:
Lip off to a cop, you hoped the cop smacked you, because if he didn’t, and told your father, you would get a worse smack-down. If you were Black, the beating from your Grandmother would be even worse.
Shoot at a cop and you resisted arrest and arrived at the jail as one very bloody mess.
Wound or kill a cop, you never made it to jail.
In the South, we had Black cops that patrolled Black areas. They were worse on serious Black criminals than any White cop.
P.S. The comments about Blacks came from Black guys I played football with, or served with in the Army.
They were more afraid of Grandmother or Black cops than anything else.
And if a Black cop saw their Grandmother in church on Sunday and reported any malfeasance, oh Lordy!
