I am of the opinion that a second civil war is no longer avoidable for the US. Most likely not going to happen right away, but I am very sure it is going to happen in the future. Perhaps even sooner than I think.
Now ... we need a Congress with brains and guts.
Hmmmm ....
The problem is, the majority of Congress agrees with the rulings.
They’re more than happy the SCOTUS took care of these issues. Now, the legislators get their preferred outcome without having to take any of the responsibility.
Win-win.
Congress can also determine the size, composition, funding of the court and all inferior federal courts. The SC gave itself the power of judicial review in 1803 and I assume Congress could take it away and restore it to its proper Consitutional role which was intended to be quite limited. While are are at it, the 14th amendment should be repealed with due process and equal protection changed to fit present conditions...not those of a draconian Reconstruction period.
But how can we replace them with something better without holding the WH and 60-67 votes in the Senate?
(I’m wit you in spirit, but just being practical, here.)
“somebody knows something about him and is blackmailing him. “
Probably something to do with the adoption of his children?
Something interesting ...
Antonin Scalia and Samuel Alito are both the sons of immigrants. Clarence Thomas is directly descended from freed slaves, and did not speak English at home when growing up.
These three are far and away the most AMERICAN members of the SCOTUS; the ones who most clearly represent the intent and understanding of the founders.
I’m not sure what to make of that, if anything ... perhaps that liberty is most appreciated by those who in one fashion or another had to struggle for it.
I've read many proposed solutions. Here are a few:
I'm sure there are others. Your leaders are supposed to be the creative and smart ones - praise them for their leadership, and ask them to disclose it.
Rather than give them a cue as to how to lie to you, you might ask for their direction, without disclosing your position first.
He’s a good man.
Congress has the power to impeach. What it does not have is the will to do so.
Revolt is headquartered in DC.
And how did these cretins manage to get themselves seated in Congress?
Hmmmmm ...
We, the People created this mess. Too many of us, a majority of us, told God to take a hike before entering the voting booth. We, the People are getting exactly what we voted for.
WEll rage anyway. I feel outraged. Rainbowing the Whitehouse was the last straw.
Part of me wants to embrace that, to give in, to think that God has lost. That is Satan trying to drive a wedge in there. God has a plan and He will not fail. The world has seen tough times before and we have pulled through - because of God. And he will pull us through this. Just have faith, pray, and follow his word.
17A has allowed for the appointment of Senators that do NOT have States' rights, OR the will of their State's Statehouse as their top priority.
He could be right. And he has the face of a leader.
The more I see of Sheriff Clarke the more I like!
Not only do they have the power to remove justices they also have the power to establish and define the court's jurisdiction. Politician's today are too spineless and jaded to use their real power fro anything that might actually advance liberty.
Can you believe he’s a Democrat? I guess we would have called him a Reagan Democrat back in the 1980s.
