At one time I routinely worked on a large robot, frequently getting in the cage with it running. Had to do a sort of dance to avoid getting hit by it. One day it crashed into a welding machine, destroying it’s end-effector and shredding part of the welding machine. I thought ‘wow I’m glad that wasn’t my face.’
The guy was hitting on the robot and it killed him in a huma-phobic rage.
So it killed the guy on purpose?

about three weeks ago at the Toyota plant in Georgetown Kentucky a worker lost an arm to a machine there and the plant has done its best to cover it up.
Meaning, they’d admit to anything except a design flaw.
