DENVER, July 7 (UPI) -- A Colorado appeals court is scheduled Tuesday to hear the case of Jack Phillips, a baker who refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips is appealing an order he received to cease his anti-gay policy or face fines instead.

The dispute began in 2012, when gay newlyweds Charlie Craig and David Mullins visited the bakery in Denver after being married in Massachussetts.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Mullins revealed that he and Craig were "mortified" when Phillips told them he wouldn't bake their cake

Bullcrap, you two perverts sought this business out to further the Gaystapo agenda.

A pox on you.

I'm afraid the momentum is with the degenerates. Even Hobby Lobby will probably not be honored any longer as judicial precedent; they will just disregard it being the lawless ones they are.

It is time to start forcing black bakers to make KKK Klan cakes.

Jewish bakers could whip up some Nazi cakes too.

Somewhere in there a First Amendment right? Like freedom of expression? Or am I wrong?

"The dispute began in 2012, when gay newlyweds Charlie Craig and David Mullins visited the bakery in Denver AFTER being married in Massachusetts..."

Why would you need a wedding cake if you're already wedded?

I think freedom of association would be more apt.

The legacy here is from the Civil Rights era, where it was decided that certain areas and enterprises were public accomodations, and as such, should be equally open to everyone.

I don’t think that businesses of choice should be under that category. Not being given a specialty cake when there are plenty of choices is not the same as being denied entry to the only train station in town.

An astute but rhetorical question.

And did the loving couple get a cake from another bakery in Denver? If they did (probably did), where's the damage? Their feelings?

They got married and got a cake and they're still bitching?

They sure did. Married in MASS., came all the way out to CO. to have their reception????????? BULL CRAP.

If I were a Baker, I would put up a sign, "Do it yourself cakes", or "We do not do Wedding Cakes".

Not refusing to bake the cakes, just do not decorate them. Supply the baked cakes and icing......take it home.

I suppose they could still bake & sell the standard undecorated cakes, just nothing special.

You are entitled to damages. So far they total more than $7T in added debt, to be paid by your children. And that's just financial damages, not counting pain and suffering.

Time to take off the kid gloves, two can play at their game. No more being tolerant, do what they are doing to us. They are trying to starve us out, we should do the same to them. Never hire someone who appears to be gay. You don’t have to tell anyone, keep it to yourself. Just use your gaydar and put that persons application behind the others.

We have to boycott them as they are boycotting us. he state of Indiana was threatened with a boycott for protecting religious rights. The homo army was willing to encircle the state of Indiana and take away jobs from thousands of people. How is this different from an army encircling a city and starving out the inhabitants? People die whether they starve or they are shot.

We need to boycott them by not buying from any gay owned businesses in your area. Don’t hire gays. If possible don’t buy from national corporations if you can do business with locally owned businesses. I say boycott national corporation if you can because hundreds of top American corporations have openly supported gay marriage.
