Trump to black columnist: 'You are the racist, not I'

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) —Donald Trump might be a presidential candidate mired in an ongoing national controversy, but he still makes time to offer feedback to newspaper columnists.

This time, the scribe who drew Trump's ire was the Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart, who called out the billionaire's "baldly racist xenophobia" in a column earlier this week.

In response, Trump sent Capehart, who is African American, a handwritten note: "Jonathan - You are the racist, not I," Trump wrote. "Get rid of your 'hate.'"

Trump has totally won me over. Not long ago I was dismissive of him.

Gotta love it and it is a teachable moment for Republicans

Only problem is.... they don't seem to be learning. They are such cowards. They won't even stand with the people who helped them sweep congress last November. Pathetic fools. I'll probably vote for Trump just to spite them all.

Racist is an interesting word, after all who are the real racists? A person that loves their race, is proud of all it’s accomplishments, wants to live with their own kind and preserve their heritage. Or is a racist someone that is trying to destroy someones heritage through mass foreign immigration, diversity, multiculturalism and race mixing?

The term “racism” was invented by communists. Leon Trotsky was one of the first to use it. When whites engage in favoritism toward other whites (and therefore discrimination against non-whites), it’s called “racism”. When other groups engage in favoritism, it’s called “ethnic solidarity”. When you buy into these word games, it’s called being a useful idiot.

Capehart is a WAPO Columnist and regularly appears on MSNBC. He is a Black Gay Liberal Activist.

What a surprise!

> Trump is blowing up the entire dog-and-pony show the Republicrats usually orchestrate.

Yeah, but “who’s turn” is it this year? McCain had his, Romney had his, so this election cycle it must be Santorum. ;-)

Typical journalists - come up with slurs when they can’t debate the ideas.

Ok, now for the short list:

Who in the vast Republican field have not condemned The Donald.

Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson are standing behind Trump.

During an appearance on Meet the Press on Sunday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said, "I salute Donald Trump for focusing on the need to address illegal immigration." He chalked up Trump's divisive rhetoric as a "colorful way of speaking."

Did I miss anyone?

"BUT I LOVE HIS STYLE AND HIS BEHAVIOR."

Roger that. I would never vote for Trump but I love his presence in the race because he's willing to fight back and blow up the PC crap which gets thrown at every Republican candidate when they speak an uncomfortable truth. Most candidates whimper, go on the defensive, and run for cover with their tail between their legs when the professional offense takers attack them. Hopefully, Trump will show them that you don't loose voters and poll numbers by fighting back on this nonsense.

That’s correct. Only stone cold xenophobic racists support laws which protect the citizens and punish the criminals.
