It will be interesting to find out the precise status of those guards.

Up-thread, they were described as "retired police". As "retired police", were they no longer police? Did they have any more authority to draw and fire a gun than a private citizen in the same position would have? What WAS their status as "security guards"?

"The other three cameras were seized as evidence by Richland County sheriff deputies, who obviously did not realize they forgot to seize a fourth camera."

It seems like things like the Periscope app may be valuable to video journalists. If your video is being sent out in real time, and a friend (preferably in a different state) is making sure it gets recorded and transferred to youtube AND liveleak, then it is more likely that they will be unable to suppress your video.

Perhaps you don’t believe in proportional response. But most juries do. So be careful out there.

May your chains rest light and not chafe too much.

“Baaaaaaaaa! Go eat some grass - if a person touches you or tries to take your possession, it is assault and robbery - when defending yourself from such makes you wrong then you have joined those already on the plantation and did it willingly.”

Please cite the statute that allows you to assault/kill someone that touches you.

I have a better idea - go look up the legal definition of assault and what may constitute a reasonable fear that the person making contact (and/or trying to rob you) may be a real threat.

After that, each State has different laws/interpretations of how far you are allowed to go in defending yourself. A person large enough to win a contest/tug-of-war with you while stealing from you can easily constitute a threat.

Of course, if you think one should just allow themselves to be robbed and then complain later, you can always rename yourself to TexasSheep and go eat grass with the other little lamb.
