Married ministers of the gospel are not the ones sodizing kids. It is only the forced celebates comitting these acts.

There are no "forced celebates" [sic] in the Catholic Church. Every priest is a priest because he volunteered.

You are repeating a lie--a laughable lie. Look up the statistics on rabbis and ministers, AND government school teachers of both sexes.

Moreover, you are repeating the "steam-boiler" theory of sexuality. I.e., if a man doesn't release the steam with a wife, then he will pursue little boys.

What a juvenile notion of the human psyche! If a man is not a pervert to start with, no amount of "celibacy" will make him one.

The true Church exists in its perfection in heaven.
We are predestined to be just like Christ. All
things (includes difficult things) happen to
the good of those who love Him and are called
according to His good purpose. This all is a
gift of pure grace. To say that the true Church
is anything but what God, ultimately, is making
it to be is to do exactly what you say, which is
to put a stumbling block in someone’s way. Doing
well has a role, and the Church has a role, but
ultimately we are dealing with God or with sinful
men.

No, you are the liar and you are nuts. Celibacy was forced on the priests by corrupt Popes. It is not natural and breaks God’s very first command for a man to find a wife and be fruitful and multiply. As a result of not following God’s word, the Roman church has been infiltrated by Sodomites. Married men of the cloth do not do such abominations because their sexual energy is transferred to their wife. Every diocese in America has been sued for pedophile compensation. Wake up before it is too late for you.

So you disagree with Jesus AND St. Paul, who both urged believers to remain unmarried (and therefore, continent).

That’s an INTERESTING version of Christianity, that teaches that BOTH Jesus and St. Paul taught error and evil.

Please write at greater length about why Jesus taught error and evil.

Despite your bogus historical claims about celibacy, the fact remains that EVERY CATHOLIC PRIEST ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH is a priest VOLUNTARILY, and a celibate voluntarily.

About four percent of Catholic priests have been credibly accused of sexual predation aimed at minors of any age.

About SIX Catholic priests in the U.S. have been PEDOPHILES.

The percentage of rabbis, ministers, and government school teachers who have molested minors is HIGHER than four percent.

If there is any correlation between priestly celibacy and sexual predation, it would have to be said that celibacy is associated with a LOWER incidence of sexual predation than in other professions.

And please DO explain why Jesus and St. Paul both recommended the EVIL of perpetual virginity.

Genesis 2 - it is not good for man to be alone. 1 Cor 7 - to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife. These verses are quite perspicuous.

So what? Nobody doubts that the Old and New Testaments teach that marriage is a good thing.

Tell me why JESUS and ST. PAUL both recommended perpetual virginity, which YOU labeled an evil, with evil consequences, and inviting God’s wrath.

God does not contradict himself. The Roman Catholic Church is misinterpreting His word by forcing priests to be celebate. Men were made to find a wife. When they do not, fornication (sexual sin) results. Peter, the first Pope, was married and so were all the other men in the Bible. Why is the RCC not following their shepherd? There are over 3000 lawsuits against the RCC for pedophile priests. Look up “Catholic Church sexual abuse cases” to get numbers. Why do I know these things? I used to be Catholic.

You still haven’t explained why, if perpetual virginity is an evil, both Jesus and St. Paul recommended it.

God does not contradict himself.

Right. Like when he says to beat your swords into plowshares, and to beat your plowshares into swords?

Right. He never, never, ever, ever says one thing in one circumstance, and another thing in another circumstance.

You still haven't explained why both Jesus and St. Paul recommend perpetual virginity.

BTW: How does the Catholic Church “force” priests to be celibate? That would require the Church to FORCE men to become priests. Do they use weapons? What kind of weapons? Guns? Do men enter the seminary and get ordained at gunpoint? Do they beat men in secret dungeons until they consent to enter the seminary?

Don’t let this question distract you from explaining why JESUS and ST. PAUL both urge believers to remain unmarried AND perpetually continent?

My comment should have been clearer, describing the tone and reference to the devil made by Hugo Chavez in his Sept 20, 2006 address to the UN General Assembly.

“Speaking one day after Bush addressed the same session of the General Assembly, Chávez announced, “The devil came here yesterday, and it smells of sulfur still today, this table that I am now standing in front of.” At that point, Chávez made the sign of the cross, positioned his hands as if praying, and looked briefly upwards as if invocation of God. He continued “Yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, from this rostrum, the President of the United States, the gentleman to whom I refer as the devil, came here, talking as if he owned the world.”

They can’t fill the churches.

The new revenue stream for Catholic Charities here in the U.S. is siphoning money off the cities, school districts in particular. Catholic Charities fines good minded people, often newly graduated social works, employees them to serve in city schools. They pay a pitense, like $18k. Then turn around and bill the city $33-$35k.

I know someone that was involved in this. They were making peanuts and only found out through a find in the school administration how Catholic Charities was profiting. Needless to say they became disalusioned.

This person also recounted what it took to get a 30 dollar print cartridge out of Catholic Charities. Basically, they were told something was wrong with them if they were using so much ink. That 30 dollars was cutting into Catholic Charities profits.

Further, this person was seeking a license in Social Work and that required an annual review and a couple semi annual reviews. Maybe three hours sitting down with her supervisor per year, no big deal right? WRONG! Catholic Charities could not be bothered helping this person in their career path. Why would they, the person my get the license and ask for more money or leave.

The entire racket is disgusting.

This is the new business model for the Catholic Church, if they can usher in global governance...and this Pope is pushing hard for it...they are sitting pretty to siphon enormous sums of money off the top for so-called charity work.

Jesus and St. Paul both recommend that believers remain unmarried for the sake of the Kingdom. They do so in the clearest terms. For 1500 years, the entire Christian world interpreted their words as recommending and honoring perpetual virginity.

If the entire Christian world could be mistaken in its understanding of the words of Jesus and St. Paul, then Jesus was a liar when he promised to send the Holy Spirit on the apostles and the Church in order to maintain it in the truth.

And that’s the fundamental problem with Protestantism: It holds that Jesus was a liar.

No true. The issue of forced priestly celibacy was so contentious in the church that it led to the Great Schism between Eastern Orthodox and the Western Roman Catholic Church in 1053. If it were a voluntary act, you would see many celibate Orthodox Priests and celibate congregations.

1 Timothy 4: 1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry , and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
