>>That’s exactly correct. In this instance, a service member should be thought of not as a service member but as an American citizen. Posse Comitatus does not apply here. The Second Amendment applies.

I agree. That’s why the narrative in the media is about the military arming recruiters. If they do, then it becomes a Posse Comitatus problem and if we demand it enough, then maybe they’ll just do away with PC altogether “because the people wanted it” and then we are one HUGE step towards creating the Progressive Security State (because they would never call it a Police State) where armed government troops will stand on our streets and help to keep us “safe”.

--"I think we have to be careful about over-arming ourselves, and I'm not talking about where you end up attacking each other," Gen. Ray Odierno, chief of staff of the Army, told reporters. Instead, he said, it's more about "accidental discharges and everything else that goes along with having weapons that are loaded that causes injuries."

Is this man a military leader or an anti-gun nut?

the Army's top officer said it's too early to say whether the facilities should have security guards or other increased protection.

Bullsheet. Too early for the details as to how, maybe, but not too early to recognize the need. In fact, it is far too late.

This guy can’t see beyond the inside of Øbama’s rectum.

This is in keeping with the crippling Rules of Engagement that our troops have had to face in their operations.

He knows that part of Skeeter’s anatomy well. He’s had his face shoved into it often enough.

He’s, like Powell, a political general.

Odierno’s right. We should limit our self-arming to that practiced by our Deal Leader: Massive fence around our homes, thousands of armed guards 24/7, all doors locked, intruders shot on sight, dogs, tanks, F-35’s, SEAL Team 6, and battalions and fleets of massive guns, missiles and bombs.

All the real generals have been purged. My opinion is everybody non com on up on bases should be armed and at least one armed guard at every civilian site. If we can’t trust our warriors with weapons something is wrong.

Odierno must have epaulet star imprints on his nether cheeks — because he certainly has his head stuck where the sun never shines.

Who gave you the right to decide how many weapons a legally armed US citizen should be allowed to carry?

You should be able to figure out where you should stick your "belief"...

Gen. Odierno: We have to be careful about over-arming ourselves

God point. Let's start with General Odierno's CID and Delta Force bodyguard detail.

That’s OK General. WE civilians are guarding them for you. It is odd though that I sent three of my young employees to guard the recruiting station that has a Gunny with four tours in the sandbox and a Staff Sgt with three tours. They are perfectly capable of handling themselves.

I'm glad I was in the Army over 60 years ago. There was efficiency, quiet dignity and nary a spoiled apple in the bunch. Today the top officer ranks are larded with PC asshatted ninnyhammers! Bozo weeded out competence.
