As if we need more proof of how tone deaf and self-destructive GOP elites can be towards their most reliable voters, the New York Times reports that at a weekend meeting of the Republican Governors Association there was an attempt by some “donors and operatives” to come up with a plan to bar current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump from the presidential debates.

The Republican Party has lost the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 presidential elections. The only election won was the re-election of a sitting president (Bush in ’04) during a time of war. Not only are these geniuses still in charge, these geniuses seem to believe that disenfranchising 25% of Republican primary voters (Trump’s support in the most recent national poll) through elite shenanigans is a smart strategy.

This is why wall street companies donate to both candidates. It does not matter who wins. They do not want voting citizens to be empowered.
Politicians see issues as their keys to personal power. As long as they stick to issues NOT SOLUTIONS, their paymasters will keep paying.
Look at most any news outlet, articles here, newspapers. The majority are refutation and condemnation articles against Trump for his supposed insults to “immigrants”. Others in conservative venues concentrate on the “illegal” aspect of what he said.
While he may/may not have brought up China, I don’t see it as a controlling forefront issue that is pinching the Democrat and RINO nerves like our southern invaders are.
The GOPe crooks used the Kansas City Shuffle on us. While we were watching and bemoaning the corruption and perversion of the DemoRATs, the GOP was filling itself with equally corrupt and reprehensible people.
Green cards and Unions...there in lays the conundrum...Entrepreneurs, GOP, need the cheap labor....Progressives need their votes.
One solution: if you came here illegally, whatever the amnesty rules are or become, you can never, ever, vote in a presidential election....that's for starters.
I think he’ll certainly be the “draw” that gets the audience there. There will also be memorable quotes, quips and remarks from him.
Here though, is where I see Cruz as having the best preparatory repertoire, quickest reasoned conservative responses and the ability to show his mettle in a far better way than Trump can do.
Is it possible to light up the GOP hq phone lines, and email accounts, and fax lines?

Two things I’d like to see.
1. Who would fill Trump’s cabinet.
2. Israel make it’s own agreement with Iran.
I don’t see him picking up Cruz as a running mate, Cruz is running at 4% and it’s pretty clear that Cruz has valuable talents which can be better used as an Attorney General. Just because the guy is bright does not mean you can shove him in anywhere and get a good result.
Go ahead and do it you chickens. Trump will just buy his own time of a national channel.

It “illegals” certainly is the unification issue between Dems and RINOs for the reasons you state.
My position for illegals is that whoever gives them jobs should be fined/imprisoned, whoever gives them shelter/aid should be similarly sanctioned. When they are caught - deport them and attach any assets they accumulated while here illegally.
No entitlements, no college, no birth certificates, no voting, no driving, no nothing. They can go the hell home, frankly. Let their mother country deal with them.
I’m not saying China isn’t an elephant in the room. It’s just not as big as that big “illegals and their ills” elephant. Mother, baby so to speak.
I think many R’s and D’s would follow him, as well. EVERYONE is so sick of the cr@p being served from BOTH parties.

The game must go on. Trump will kill it. So much money. So much corruption.
That would be something to see if he was barred. Liberals push and shove their way into everything. Love to see it done by our side.
Wasn’t Alan Keyes barred from some debates or the like years ago?
If they manage to do that, his poll numers will skyrocket.
