WASHINGTON — Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether Hillary Rodham Clinton mishandled sensitive government information on a private email account she used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday.
The request follows an assessment in a June 29 memo by the inspectors general for the State Department and the intelligence agencies that Mrs. Clinton’s private account contained “hundreds of potentially classified emails.” The memo was written to Patrick F. Kennedy, the under secretary of state for management.
It is not clear if any of the information in the emails was marked as classified by the State Department when Mrs. Clinton sent or received them.
But since her use of a private email account for official State Department business was revealed in March, she has repeatedly said that she had no classified information on the account.

I can’t see Obozo ever agreeing to a serious investigation of Hillary, not that there’s any love lost between the two of them, but if he turns on her, she can always turn on him. It seems to me that they have a form of MAD protecting them from one another. They both have more than enough ammo to take each other down.
There more of a chance of me squeezing out a baby than Hillary being investigated by the DOJ.

If everyone did the things Hillary and Bill do, then there would be no laws or regulations that were enforced. They've basically, with Democrat Party top cover, been able to behave as if they're above the law. With Clintons and Obama, we're becoming, as the phrase goes, a nation of men and not a nation of laws.
You may be right. We’ll see. Yet I cannot believe that this is a story the Clinton machine wants in the New York Times during her attempts to win the Democrat nomination.

It’s not gone big yet. It’s not on Drudge. It’s in several other places including the liberal Boston Globe and Salon. It’s a big deal, and probably a lot of the talk shows will pick it up doing the work that the DNC/Mainstream media won’t do.

If an investigation does take place, it will be a show investigation (dog and pony show) finding her completely exonerated from any criminal activity, clearly the way for her run as head socialist of America!
Personally, I am sick and tired of being played like a fool by the old media (propagandist) and the dog and pony shows being played out in the US Congress!
In example, first the US Senate votes to give this Socialist congressional powers to make a deal with Islamic terrorist State of Iran, then the socialist make a deal to give the Islamist terrorist a nuclear weapons, then the congress holds hearings and all act like they are shocked, shocked, that the Islamist terrorist will not only be allowed to get a nuclear weapon, but, buy and sell intercontinental rockets, and requires the United States of America to guard the Islamist against any sabotage or attacks from America's allies, including Israel!
Americans are supposed to sit and watch this dog and pony show and think how hard the GOPe (RINO’s) are working to stop this deal and stop Obama!

There is nothing to get excited about here. They are launching an investigation so the feds can say she did nothing wrong. Then they will use that to show she is squeaky clean and the Republicans are just attacking a woman.

As Secretary of State, it is reasonable to assume that her email correspondence would include information that would fall into the categories of either "Classified" or "Top Secret." Because of this, there are regulations which specify that the server used for such communications must be certified as secure enough to handle this type of correspondence. Hillary should be forced to produce the documentation showing that the certification process was completed, and by whom. If no such documentation exists, she is in violation of the security requirements as prescribed by government regulations. Also, there is a requirement to maintain a backup server housed in a different geographic location in the event the primary server is damaged or destroyed by fire natural disaster, etc. Was this requirement met? If not, it represents another serious violation.
