Kasich is a weaker, less successful version of Walker. Where Walker defeated public unions in his state, Kasich crashed and burned. Where Walker fights against Obama’s policies, Kasich adopts them. Combine this with a personality somewhere between that of day old bread and a hammer, and you have a candidate who I hesitate to even call an “also ran.”

Not that hypocrisy on the left is anything new, but I find it interesting that EJ Dionne thinks it is wonderful that Gov Kasich brings his religion into this. If Kasich had mentioned natural marriage or abortion in a religious setting, he would have been a religious fanatic who wanted to create a theology. They do the same thing with the Pope.

Kasich has hired the infamous John Weaver as his top political consultant, who is known for his buddy-buddy relationships with the inside the beltway types like EJ that help spin for his candidates (Weaver’s previous “winners”: John McCain and John Huntsman). Enough said!

St. Peter is "probably not going to ask you much about what you did about keeping government small. But he is going to ask you what you did for the poor."

Not making more of them would be a start.

And - it's amazing how many misquote Bible passages - the deal is meant for individuals and not for governments. If I steal from you to "give to the poor", I have committed the sin of stealing and will not get any scoobie points for the "good deed".

"Like E J has the best interest of the GOP in mind"

How nice and polite of Dionne (who hates everything about conservative Republicans) to give us our choice of candidates. Apparently Dionne is too dim to realize that most conservatives will deliberately not back Kasich because of his, Dionne's, endorsement.

But thanks anyway E.J. for helping us out. I'm sure you'll be thrilled to get my list of Dem candidates you should endorse. Not.

Better question...

Why should anyone listen to E. J. Dionne?

Note to E.J. Dionne: Why would anyone pay attention to that RINO Quisling named John Kasich? This guy is a TOTAL disappointment and sellout. He is a hollow man without any core principals. Be gone, kasich.

When I think of Kasich, what immediately comes to mind is his good buddy, Gary Condit.

Exactly. It’s as though he’s saying “Do this and you’ll win the White House.”

Unfortunately, the GOP will probably listen, thinking, like mccain, they’ve found a friend in the media.
