This would not surprise me at all.
I've been enjoying Trump's candidacy. It's nice having someone out there who has no problem with tossing out the filters so we can get some honest discussion going.
Personally, I wouldn't vote him for dogcatcher, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what he's bringing to the table.
I'm still on for Cruz and/or Walker. Either will work as far as I'm concerned, though I'd rather see Cruz even though I'd lose a great senatecritter.
If Trump does actually get the republican nomination, it will just be the final proof (as if anyone needs it) that we've devolved completely into a 'bread and circuses' culture.
You don’t need any more proof. It is all around you and has been there for half a century.
I don’t think Cruz or Walker can do it. They left their horses in the stable. I prefer either in a proper election in a functioning Republic. We no longer fit that description. The Republic is dead. It has been replaced by a rapidly developing dictatorship. Dictatorships supplanting republics don’t do away with elections. They control them and maintain them for an appearance of legitimacy. That is why Cruz and Walker probably cannot win an election. If Trump is that Man on Horseback then the election will not be the deciding factor as to whether or not he will win, that and miscalculation by the Sultan.
