I had to hold back tears the first time I heard it. I thought it might be a fluke, in that the rest of the piece couldn’t be as good as the first movement. But I was wrong. It was great piece of music in all four movements. Save it for when you have time for a glass of wine and a good cry.

Well, I don’t like to cry, but the wine sounds like a good accompaniment to the music. :)

Just what the troops need - more marches - some they probably haven't paraded much to though...

Entrance of the Gladiators - Fucik
Procession of the Nobles - Rimsky Korsakov
Marche (Symphonic Metamorphosis) - Hindemith.....

MUSIC FOR WALLERIN’

Rachmaninov: Sonata for Cello & Piano in G minor, Op. 19, Third Movement

One of the greatest love songs ever written. It’s in E-flat and only four pages long, but you wish it would never end. My screen always goes blurry at 4:49 when he sums it up. The end is utter perfection.

Yeah, well, you might call it ‘winning’. I call it ‘cruel-and-unusual-punishment’ and that is against the law! ;-)

Good evening, Kathy!

*HUGS*

A good day at work today. We were in the mid to upper 80's today with low humidity - tolerable but nothing lke yesterday when we were right around 80 with very low humidity and a palliative breeze.

I understand the dog days begin again starting tomorrow.

We will continue with our construction this weekend.
