Trump launches offensive against Walker
The Hill ^ | July 25th, 2015 | By Sarah Ferris

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump on Saturday unleashed a personal attack at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, days after being the target of the governor’s latest campaign blast.>p>

Trump’s speech in Iowa came on the heels of a fundraiser for Walker referring to the New York business mogul as “DumbDumb” in an event invitation email earlier this week.

Blasting the “horrible” insult from Walker’s campaign, Trump went on the offensive with criticism against Walker’s economic record.

“Wisconsin is in turmoil,” Trump told a boisterous crowd at a rally in Iowa. He pointed to the state’s roads, schools and hospitals, which he said were all “a disaster.”

Walker, who is leading polls in Iowa, remains one of Trump’s biggest rivals in the race.

“I hear the only person beating me in Iowa is Scott Walker,” he said. “I can’t believe I’m in second place. Folks, will you please put me in first place so I feel better?”

Trump told the crowd Saturday that he had helped Walker win his race because he admired the candidate’s “fight,” but didn’t know what he was fighting for. “I’ve been very nice to him,” he said.

But after Walker’s fundraising email went public, Trump declared: “I can finally attack.”

What do Donald Trump and Kim Jong Il have in common?

Dennis Rodman’s support.

"Since then, his campaign has rushed to prove it has support from veterans. A former member of the U.S. Navy Seals helped warm up the crowd Saturday, proclaiming that "Donald Trump loves veterans, unlike some others who think we're 'crazies,' " referring to a comment by McCain about Trump supporters.

During his speech, Trump pulled out hundreds of pages of letters from veterans that he said represented just one day’s worth of mail."

Unfortunately Walker has to answer for UNWILLINGNESS to try to end Common Core in Wisconsin. Trump point that out, so I agree now that Walker will be unable to hide from Common Core history.

Walker takes a BIG HIT now. He started out looking like a perfect candidate, but now he’s starting to tumble as people learn more about him, just as happened to Perry 4 years ago.

Agree. Most of his polling points was the usual “bump” one gets after
announcing .

Trump gave Walker the courtesy of “correcting” the fundraising letter.
A lot more time than he has given the other clowns who attacked Trump
first.

Walker chose not to correct the issue and Trump dropped the hammer
of Walker today in Iowa...and rightfully so.

Yeah...it would be much easier for the rest of the GOP if no one we’re bringing up the border issues. They could have just passed “immigration reform” just like they had planned if it hadn’t been for Trump.

How about his unwillingness to end sanctuary cities in his state?

Walker is GOPe to me unless he dumps that Anti-Tea Party guy, Dayspring. After that, maybe we can talk, but I’m betting he’s GOPe at the core.

"but I’m betting he’s GOPe at the core"

Of course he is!

Where else is he going to get his money?

I think Trump is a Perot for the Clintons. She cant win it without a Repub split or 3-way race.

Just because I like some of the stuff he said that doesnt mean I dont look at his past with the Clintons and democrat donations.
