Trump got in front of a wave that has been building for years.
The American citizens are sick of their country being invaded and colonized by fraudulently documented foreigners.
The only solution coming from the District of Corrution is amnesty and more invasion and colonization.
Neither party has been representing the citizens.
The Democrats represent the illegal aliens.
The GOP represents their employers.
Trump stepped into that vacuum.
When did he say that?
In his book written in 2011 he said no such thing. He said he wants real tort reform and to open up the ability to buy insurance across state lines.
He did say he would insist on saving medicare and wants to build good VA hospitals.
He has said recently that he wants to work deals with hospitals to take care of those who cannot afford insurance.
Trump is riding a Tsunami, he either correctly read whats going on or lucked out. I think he paid attention to the frustration and anger how here. He tapped into and keeps tapping and lead keeps growing.
Go Donald! As long as Jebbie is taken down an a bunch of also rans and it gets down to Donald, and Ted Cruz, perhaps Scott Walker altho I am a bit leary of his hire of the Daysprind dude

He won’t use the words “universal healthcare” like he did in the past. Now he talks about how he can make deal with hospitals (through his magic deal making powers) that will provide healthcare for the poor who currently aren’t allowed to see doctors when sick. Whether this is still universal healthcare or whether this is an about face that he’s made now that he’s running as a Republican like he did with guns and abortion recently, I don’t know.

Audio on above link is him recently talking about health care. He pushed it in 1999 when he wanted to run for President as the Reform Party candidate and it was in his book in 2000. He reconciles his position by saying he’s a “conservative with a heart.” In his book he explains that he’s quite liberal

Above he tells MSNBC that 25% of people can’t get health care, that they can’t see a doctor, when they’re sick in the US, that he plans to provide health care for the poor, and that conservatives love this and agree with him about it.

Above is a transcript of an interview with Larry King in 1999 when he was thinking about being the Reform Party candidate. He wanted to run for them because Republicans were just too far right for him, although he did like George W Bush for distancing himself from the radicals in the GOP. He says on healthcare: I think you have to have it, and, again, I said I’m conservative, generally speaking, I’m conservative, and even very conservative. But I’m quite liberal and getting much more liberal on health care and other things” and “So I’m very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better.” and that he believes it is an entitlement from birth.
Although I can’t find it, I know there’s a clip/quote of him praising British healthcare specifically from around the same time as well.
I have no problem with having something in place to make sure the real poor and destitute can get healthcare. But such a program shouldn’t be all that expensive if it only covers those who are truly poor and are not able-bodied.
The CNN poll was conducted July 22-25 among 1,017 adults. The margin of error was 3.5 percentage points among the registered voting sample of 419 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents.
Why not 1000+ Likely Republican voters?
