I hope Trump’s MSNBC interview doesn’t surprise too many people: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took a softer stance [on] immigration during a television interview Friday, saying he believes in a “merit system” for undocumented immigrants already living in the U.S. … During Friday’s interview, Trump said the U.S. should take a two-step approach to the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the country. Wouldn’t it be nice if there really were only 11 million? The actual number is probably at least three times that high and rocketing upward every moment. Meanwhile, we can’t find even a loose cannon, ostensibly anti-establishment candidate who wants to enforce immigration law.

He's not even my first choice, Cruz is. But if he's willing to really tackle it, that's more than most others.
I agree with you he’ll at least tackle it and he won’t be worse than most of the others—but he’d still amnesty upwards of 30 million ill-educated, Leftist illegals whom you can guarantee will become citizens and voters.
What good does it do to deport 30 million then let 20 million back in?

Obviously we can't "tear families apart" so anchor babies, their parents and family will stay.

I like what Trump has to say. I like that he's made illegal immigration an issue. I like how he handles the msm.
I think he would be good on the border, defense and the economy.
If he is the nominee I will probably vote for him but I would rather see a true Conservative like Cruz in there.

Actually, I do agree. I just have a tough time picturing it. But I’m certainly willing to have Trump show it to us all.

with DT at the link posted, he stated the same thing I later learned he said on Hannity which I didn't know about.

provided in my post and listened to their phone interview with Trump, he said essentially the same thing
you allude to on the Hannity program, which I didn't get to see until in replays here at 10 pm. That was the
reason for posting. The author whose site is very anti-Left/PC was claiming this is amnesty. It doesn’t mean
it's a hit piece because you might be a Trumpbot waving pom-poms for your guy.
Furthermore, it is presumptuous of you to be a self-appointed mind reader and proclaim the motives of why
anybody posts anything on FR. Get over yourself.
Otherwise we are on the same page. We need a candidate that will pull our country out of our mess.
