Watch: Ted Cruz Just Threw An Epic Challenge At Obama- ‘…In Front Of The American People’

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has called out President Barack Obama, challenging the president to debate the substance of the Iran nuclear agreement within the next 60 days. The 2016 Republican presidential candidate calls the proposed agreement “the single greatest national security threat facing America.”

“I will invite President Obama at any time and place of his choosing to debate the substance of the Iran deal,” Cruz said Monday on Fox News’s Hannity. “Let’s do it in front of the American people.” Cruz later offered Obama the option of sending Secretary of State John Kerry as a proxy.

Cruz has been adamant that the proposed agreement will enrich America’s enemies.

“Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, so much of that money will end up in the hands of Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis, and other radical Islamic terrorists,” Cruz said. “And if this deal goes through, the Obama administration will become, quite literally, the world’s leading financier of radical Islamic terrorism.”

Obama has criticized Republican presidential candidates who oppose the Iran deal. On Monday, Obama chastised former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s recent comments that the deal is marching Israelis “to the door of the oven.” Obama said such criticism “is not the kind of leadership that is needed in America right now.”

The Senate is expected to vote on the proposed agreement in September. Republican senators have reacted harshly to the proposal. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said that Senate Democrats are more receptive to the treaty. If Senate Republicans vote as a bloc to kill the deal, Senate Democrats cannot afford to lose more than 12 lawmakers in the post-veto battle that would follow.

I’m fairly certain no sitting president has debated a senator outside of the context of a political campaign for re-election.

Cruz will simply be ignored. They cannot afford to have this debate, Cruz would simply make them look like the absolute jerks they really are. obama would just make up lie after lie while giving praise to himself, Kerry would utter mindless off-topic nonsense.

Yes, they will ignore him.

Cruz would DECIMATE Obama in a debate.

ValJar will choose the venue as the chambers of the Iranian Majlis (parliament) in Tehran, her native home town.

Cruz has been adamant that the proposed agreement will enrich America’s enemies.

As a consequence of what I refer to as 17th Amendment gridlock, I don’t see Section 3 of the 14th Amendment at least being discussed by the media concerting Obama’s actions.

14th Amendment, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof [emphasis added]. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

This could be another chance for Obama to be “ The First.....”

You know how the media gives extra brownie points for that.

Of course Cruz knows 0bama will “mokusatsu” this proposal. (An appropriate word for today). There is no precedent for this in American history, so I don’t see it happening. Cruz can make political hay out of the fact that 0bama won’t come out and publicly defend his treaty, but other than that, this goes nowhere.

Oh Ted, that’s fighting dirty. A good Republican politely pretends to oppose bad deals and then approves them quietly.

Of course Cruz knew Obama would refuse to debate. Either way, Obama loses. When in a war for the nation’s survival, good men use every means possible to win. Weasels like McConnell only pretend to fight.

I saw Obama debate his teleprompter once. He lost

I also watching him argue with his earpiece.
Of course that may have been a debate with Reggie on who’s turn it was to bite the pillow

This guy is stuck on "debate" and other legal shit.

No one, except a few pin heads from FR want to hear/watch a Cruz/Obama debate.

It doesn't matter how right he is, Cruz is painful to watch and listen to.

If he really wants traction he needs to buy a microphone and tell the American people what a scam and how really dangerous the Iran deal is.

I guarantee THAT would start the debate AND he would get recognition.

OBAMA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT TED CRUZ OPINION ON IRAN...OBAMA IS NOT GOING TO DEBATE TED CRUZ...PERIOD.

He's only making a fool of himself, except for in the eyes of a few swooning followers here at FR.

Woe, read the news now and then If you can’t, search YouTube for Cruz’s Senate Floor Speech yesterday.

He said EXACTLY what needed to be said. Here’s the link.
https://youtu.be/W079mexKZHY

I eagerly await any of the “other” candidates address the same issues? Especially those bought by said cartel or playing nice with McConnell and Reid.
