Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to make it illegal to be in possession of high-capacity ammo magazines, likely setting up a new Second Amendment battle in the Golden State.

After passing the measure with a 12-0 vote, Councilman Paul Krekorian reportedly challenged the National Rifle Association.

What is their definition of “high capacity”?

2?

Unconstitutional no matter how you slice it.

"...destroy, legally sell or surrender them.

"Except that it already illegal to sell, or even give away, a magazine grandfathered legal under prior state restrictions.

Don't leave too many alternatives does it!

Can you convert an AR to belt-fed?

Yes, you can - for enough $$... and that will make their heads explode!

***People who own magazines that hold more than 10 rounds ***

Really, this is a very good law. No one is ever killed or wounded with the first ten rounds! They are merely noise makers! It is the bottom rounds that do all the killing!

Then when you switch magazines, again the top ten are merely noise makers till the last bottom rounds come up!

Do I REALLY need to add a (Sarcasm) tag?

From the article... “People who own magazines that hold more than 10 rounds will have 60 days from the time the law goes into effect to destroy, legally sell or surrender them. Violators will face a misdemeanor charge”

Ex post facto.

Yet another ignorant Caliphobic thinking
that Orange County is the only conservative
jurisdiction in the state because that is
what he is told to think by the MSM.

If that 15.5 EQ hits CA then I hope you
find yourself a nice new conservative
website because last I checked Fresno
is in Fresno County, not Orange County
and that is the home of Jim Robinson and
Free Republic.

And, frankly, however bad the politics are here
in California I will take this craphole over
whatever craphole you call home anytime.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, criminals don’t obey laws. Including this one.

I think Valkyrie Armament is the most popular - around three-four grand.

May be others ... Google is your friend.

Free Republic is based in Fresno California. The middle of the Conservative Central Valley that feeds our state, our country, and a lot of the world!

And you want it to fall off into the Ocean?

OK. I might have cast my net too wide in a post. I really do not want all of California to fall into the Pacific. It is all of the liberals who need to fall in. The state government there sounds like a version of almost any European government. Hard left socialists at best. Can you good people of California please take back that beautiful state?

Yes, there are several outfits that market belt feed conversions for the AR-15. It does require a donor rifle.
These manufacturers are: Valkyrie Armament, Slide Fire Solutions, and Ares Defense Systems.

L.A. should make it illegal to blow ladies heads off on Sunset Blvd with shotguns.

Send them all to me in Nevada. I'm offering $0.25 per magazine.

That's my final offer.

I live in Sacramento county. Other than the downtown area, which is infested by Govt. employees, the area is pretty conservatives as are the surrounding counties. San Francisco, and LA are hopeless enclaves of liberal lunacy. The good thing is that we know where they live.

As our former Sherriff recently pointed out it is very easy for illegals to register and actually vote and a lot do as they are never challenged. Their votes help maintain the One Party State that seems impossibly entrenched. One day, given the right Republican President and Congress, we may be able to shed this tyranny under the RICO laws.

There are propositions afoot to break up California into 3-4 states. 2 of which will be decidedly conservative. Yeah State of Jefferson!
