The WhiteHouse.gov petition calling for the extradition of Walter Palmer, the Minnesota dentist who recently admitted to killing Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe, has surpassed 100,000 signatures, meaning the White House will have to respond to the petition.

“We urge the Secretary Of State John Kerry and the Attorney General Loretta Lynch to fully cooperate with the Zimbabwe authorities and to extradite Walter Palmer promptly at the Zimbabwe government's request,” the petition reads.

Wonder why Obama isn’t sueing someone over that disparate outcome?

Quick research: Church of the Greater God

They went through a few sources, then gave as their conclusion Genesis 9:2-3 that it is okay to kill animals, but only for food. Their explanation was that it's never okay to kill animals for sport or trophy. For food or to protect against a predator are reasons an animal may be killed.

Some of the greenies would be happier as animals.

Hopefully VERY low on the food chain.

Mob rule.

That was my first thought as well. I'll bet if you'd substitute "guillotine Palmer" for "extradite Palmer" in the original petition, you'd get just as many signatures, maybe more.

How's the petition on Planned "Parenthood" murdering babies and selling their body parts coming along?

Nevermind.

Why,they are not asking for him and the people he trusted for the hunt are responsible, what knowledge would he have about anything there!

I can’t believe what I am hearing from all directions. Sure the guy made a big time mistake, but what law did he break? These people would give a terrorist holding a butchered head in his hand a kiss, but crucify the hunter. Come on now!!

What a bunch of sheeple, last week the Confederate flag, this week a damned lion. Low IQ, bleeding hearts. Wonder what next week’s cause will be.

Are you sure the ultimate arbitrator of good and evil thinks it's okay to destroy His creations for sport?

Wow. That Sampson guy must be in Sooo much trouble!

Thank you for putting this into proper context.

It is not evil to kill an animal.

Wouldn’t Zimbabwe need to request his extradition? Smh Their government and citizens do not seem too concerned over the matter.

You asked me for a bible quote (about which I know nothing) and I found a source that gave a few to answer the question, and cited one of them.

So if you're going to say, from a Biblical perspective, I'm in error, where are your sources that say it's okay to kill animals for sport or trophy?

No, no, no. You’re the one who is making extraordinary claims. It’s for you to support them, not for me to rebut them.

No reasonable interpretation of the Bible condemns hunting.

Actually it just means that Conservatives are lazy. Liberals do write these silly petitions and ensure 100,000 are met so that the White House must respond. We don’t get into petitions. I did say lazy and maybe that is overdone....we just don’t give a diddy about petitions.

That lion no doubt slowly ate a lot of baby elephants and other animals in his time. Much more close to slaughter.

Anyway I like hunters and especially those who hunt predators.

Here’s my perspective. Predators cause a lot of suffering and pain, especially to young animals who cannot protect themselves.

Therefore, they can be hunted. Often. For any reason.

I really dislike hnting just for the sport and not for conservation/food needs - not to mention using a freaking bow and arrow instead of something more likely to give a clean kill.

That said, the crazies who think that, because their own sensibilities have been offended, someone else's life needs to be made into living (or dead) Hell are coming out of the woodwork - just because I disagree with someone's actions doesn't give me the right to intrude on their Constitutional rights.
