I don’t really care to be referred to as the “little Guy” or “Joe Six Pack”, I believe Todd and Matthews mean this to be demeaning. I’m a free thing Conservative who supports Senator Ted Cruz but is happy to see Trump going after the liberals and progressives whether they be republicans, democrats or “journalists”.

Did Matthews stop drinking. he actually makes sense here.

Either that or he's doing it to bolster MSLSD's pee poor ratings but Tingled One is more cogent these days. Asking Debbie Downer whats the difference between Socialist and Dems? No thats a hardball question.

‘Trump is hardly a “little guy”’

Hence the use of the word, “ironically.”

My editorial is getting circulated, too. Chris or one of his aids (AIDs?) probably saw it.

I'm published with this article at AmericanClarion.com, RenewAmerica.com, and soon to be BarbedWire and Freedom Outpost. I also am trying for Breitbart and Townhall.

Maybe old Zell made Matthews have a battlefield conversion.

Nah. That will never happen.

I think it was Palin that wrote the “Joe Six Pack” reference.

Has Matthews had a brief transient moment of lucidity?

If so, it will only last until his leg starts tingling again.

I would encourage Trump, and Cruz, to keep touting their ‘underdog’ status. Many of us out here feel like we the underdogs have to fight our own government.

“I think it was Palin that wrote the “Joe Six Pack”” reference.

I believe it’s older than the 2008 campaign.

Frankly, referring to some Corporate Managers, who in pursuit of outrageous bonuses are ridiculously focused on perceived interests spanning only the next several quarters, but with their heads in the sand as to the long term dynamics resulting from the immigration policies they have embraced; referring to such myopic, but otherwise only semi-functional types, as "elites," should make anyone snicker. They are "elites," only in the dry humorous sense that the courtiers in the Hans Christian Andersen classic, "The Emperor's New Clothes," were "elites."

And if Corporate managers, who have pushed the immigration fiasco, are no better than a parody of "elitism"; what can one say for the political whores who chase after the patronage of those grasping Corporate managers--even to the point of betraying their constituents' heritage.

I am waiting for Cruz and Trump to start saying that the Democrats purposefully got us into this mess . . . because that is REALLY what happened.

They will. They are keeping their “ powder dry” for the real war ahead. These are just hit and run skirmishes the MSM / DNC are engaged in now. Once they fear defeat they will resort to their usual no holds barred tactics, mistaking that these 2 guys will back down like so many others before them.

People like Matthews and Todd are referring to Obama when they say the best and the brightest. That’s their problem.

“the more we in the media attack him the more powerful he gets.”

Seems to be happening. Wonder what understanding the government, media and politicians might be getting from all of this?

The people are upset and some drastic changes better be made? Or, it's time to REALLY oppress the people because they oppose us. Seems to me it's going to be one or the other. Not much middle ground left any more. The storming of the Bastille might be at hand (except few study history and even know what that is).

You are EXACTLY right and everyone involved needs to be punished in some form or fashion. They simply have to be punished. Just losing an election here or there is not enough retribution for what they have done. That guy Rep. Gutierrez needs to be in prison for life starting right NOW. No compromise.

Just say no to Hillary---self-avowed "champion" of the middle class. Her days with her hand in the pockets of the American people are over.

Hillary ran OUR State Dept like a personal ATM....w/ Bill taking notes WRT buck-raking opportunities available from Hillary's actions OR inaction.

Secy Hillary never e-v-e-r uttered a discouraging word e-v-e-r......as the Clinton Foundation sucked up hundred of millions of foreign dollars from shady characters.

As Judge Judy would say "What did you say to Bill? And what did he say to you."

Even more nauseating, the avaricious Clintons bragged about their do-goodism, about Clinton Foundation money supposedly dispersed to "assist" endless charitable projects.......as the two scammers cunningly devised hundreds of ways to collect billions.

The Clintons "innocently" becoming billionaires while she was at OUR state Dept is a crock.....and they undermined the safety and security of Americans in the process.

...there is a “sense of betrayal” because “the best and the brightest have given the country away on the border, on debt, on jobs.”

First - 'white liberal elites' are NOT our best and brightest. They're the people who live around DC in the wealthiest ZIP codes in the country BECAUSE they reward themselves VERY well with OUR money.

We referred to them as 'elite' as in 'white liberal elite' but there's a strong undertone of contempt when the phrase is said out loud.

Other than that Chris Matthews appears to be getting a clue...

LOL at the headline. If Trump isn’t an “elite”, I don’t know who is. Born rich, got even richer, God bless him. The perfect champion for the “little guy”. Hahahahahaha.

But no no it’s true because “no one can buy him”. Walker or Cruz would of course be bribed into being liberals by the secret cabal of evil billionaires (other than Donald, of course) who control everything.

Trump has the "mad as hell" vote. I'd guess that's about 80% of US citizens.

That percentage is my feeling as well. Very unscientific on my part, but I base it on the readers' comments in the many news articles posted on the web. Some are this far from Revolution in their comments, but the main drift is that everybody is pist off at the politicians. I hope that Trump, even if he doesn't make it, continues to galvanize that vote.
