Donald Trump says Rand Paul 'reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain'

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) is trying to intensify a fight with current Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Paul's campaign on Monday announced a conference call with reporters specifically dedicated to Trump. During that call, Paul slammed the real-estate magnate for conducting a substance-less presidential campaign and making derogatory comments about women.

"The truth telling is bluster, the truth-telling is non-sequitur, self-aggrandizement, but is there really anything substantive coming out of saying that people are fat, people are stupid?" Paul said of Trump.

Calling Trump a "fake conservative," Paul listed off the issues where Trump has agreed with Democrats in the past, including supporting the 2008 bank bailouts, supporting some stricter measures on gun ownership, and saying that a single-payer healthcare system "could have worked."

Paul's broadside caused Trump to respond with one of his own Monday evening. Writing on Twitter, the real-estate developer declared that Paul was "truly weird" and "reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain"

The Washington cartel and big donors have several attack dogs “running” for President. Fiorina, Rand Paul, Rick Perry,Linda Grahamnesty and others are just attack dogs going after Trump to clear the way for Jeb Bush , Rubio, or Christie to win.

Maybe not, but Paul was absolutely right in the debate with Christie on surveillance and he’s absolutely right in everything he’s said about Trump since the debate. Trump’s past positions are documented facts which too few of his competitors are talking about.

Don’t feel too sorry for her. I’m pretty sure she’s stepping out on him.

The two most reliable estimates for Trumps wealth are between $150 and $200 million and $788 million. Trump sued over the former estimate. Either way Trump underperformed inflation.

Trump is a mid-tier NYC real estate developer with a talent for self promotion. He's not some great businessman.

I have no idea how wealthy Limbaugh is. But its my understanding Limbaugh made that money himself, he didn’t get it from his family. Big difference.

According to one of his Books, Trump’s Family was not Wealthy when he was young. He and his Father invested in Apartment Buildings outside of New York and built the Company.

When his Father passed away, the valuation of the Company was said to have been $200 Million. He wasn’t just handed a Pile of money, he took over the Family Business and expanded it.

Not sure what this has to do with anything, but if you are really interested I guess you can Google it. I got this information from reading other Posts here and I really have no idea what difference it makes.

Hate Trump because he’s Rich? Sounds like a Bernie Sanders Bumper Sticker.

That being said, I believe we are at least six Months from the first Primary and Politics turns on a dime. I’m a Cruz guy that hopes he can get his numbers up to compete while the others fall by the wayside. Looks like La Raza Rick will be the first to fall.

Walker is obviously a tremendous fighter, and he;s been in the top tier for me, but besides unions, I just can’t get a fix on where he is on issues.

Paul’s campaign was sunk with the debate. He looked petulant.

Trump is not part of the political class. Those that are depend on the status quo, at the very least to some degree, for their existence. Trump is through-and-through USA capitalist, and seems very sincere about waning to restore the nation we grew up in.

“Paul was absolutely right in the debate with Christie on surveillance ...”

I don’t support either one of them, but hat’s not how I evaluated that exchange. Here is the relevant portion of the transcript:

“I want to collect more records from terrorists but less records from innocent Americans,” said Paul, the Senate’s most prominent libertarian.

That’s a “completely ridiculously answer,” responded Christie, a former U.S. attorney who pursued cases using powers under the Patriot Act. “How are you supposed to know?”
