Just like many Republicans are craving for a real deal conservative, many Democrats are craving for a real Socialist, proud and unabashed and not afraid of the “S” word. Judging from the enormous crowds Sanders has received in Portland and L.A., it seems to me his campaign has an enormous amount of enthusiasm and is just getting started.
Maybe they aren’t supporting Sanders so much as “anybody but hillary”.

Bernie’s “supporters” are paid vermin from SEIU and Soros Occupy. Hillary’s! supporters are paid vermin from DNC hacks.
If anyone, it'd be Trump that'd name Caitlyn Jenner as his VP.

30-40% maybe. Not the vast majority.
Add up those who actually want Hillary, those who go with the frontrunner, and those who don't want to make waves, and there's your majority of Democrats.
Maybe this is one way the system is rigged: outsiders have to enter early to get money and name recognition, but if they enter early their campaigns peak early, and by the time the primaries actually happen the front-running insider with all the money can steamroll over the challenger.
