McConnell Proves Meadows Right in His Effort to Depose Boehner

Perhaps the most enlightening, yet underreported moment during last Thursday’s debate was when the crowd started cheering at the mention of Texas Senator Ted Cruz calling Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar. Yes, indeed the GOP base is more offended by the GOP establishment than any outrageous and offensive thing Donald Trump has said. It’s time for elected Republicans and the rest of the presidential field to follow their base.

At this point, there is nothing more important than using the power of the purse to stop Obama’s increasingly dangerous lawlessness. But that will never occur unless there is an immediate change in leadership. Mitch McConnell has made it clear to Obama that he will never force a budget fight – no matter what Obama chooses to do in the coming weeks. Not even the thousands of lost coal jobs in his state will prompt him to fulfill his campaign promises.

Cruz got the same overwhelming response from the crowd whe he mentioned it in Newnan, GA, too. We are mad and are done playing footsie with the people we have elected to represent us while they are only interested in keeping their elite status and enriching their bank accounts.

It's the same reason that Trump is riding high. People are tired of elected representatives who make empty promises, only to do absolutely nothing about them once in office. I think they're also tired of politically-correct hand wringing, and are actually amused (I know I am) to see Trump just say what he thinks and refuse to apologize for it. I have been saying for a long time that the way to fight political correctness is to simply refuse to bow to it. The only reason that PC idiocy has become so entrenched is because they have intimidated people into going along. It's time to stop being intimidated and to act like free people again. It's also absurd to be worrying about trivial nonsense, as Megyn Kelly did, when the country is burning down around us.

But back to Boehner and McConnell (et al), given the truly dire situation we are in, with a flat-out Marxist running the country, what they are doing by not opposing him truly is treasonous. They know full well that we have an enemy of America in charge, yet they look the other way to preserve their status and privilege.
