Does anyone else remember when, back in the day Will portrayed himself as a True Conservative and faithful Conservative while calling George H.W. Bush a “lapdog” for the GOP Establishment?
I’d love to see someone confront Will with that particular bit of irony.

I see topics and positions presented on FR as original material presented on MSM and some of the more popular blogs from time to time. Not as bad as in the old 2nd term Clinton days when it was a regular occurrence on a mailing list I was on.

Exactly— the polls show Trump is leading among self-described conservatives. The whole premise of Will’s opinion is fallacious.. Also Trump leads among Tea-partiers.. How do you write something that is nationally syndicated and put so little effort into your argument..

It is not conservative to abandon the rule of law.

Political consultants are picking our candidates - - they've destroyed 'bench strength' for democrats... and could do the same for us.
The perfect candidate from the perspective of a political consultant is one who looks good on TV, doesn't make waves, and is happy to do what the consultant tells him to do: "Spend THIS amount on TV ads in Florida - and be grateful I'm not taking a higher percentage"...
What's right for the political consultant is WRONG for the country. Incentives from hell...

Much is said about how dems keep blacks on their political plantation. I contend the same is true of blue collar, middle class conservatives. We are on the GOPe plantation.
The republican party elites look down their noses at the grass roots American who actually believes in God, Family and Constitutionally protected liberty.
As Will said, they have been working hard for decades to make conservatism palatable.

The establishment he’s a part of is completely worthless. They have achieved ZERO in the last 20 years.
