I agree. Donald J. Trump is a natural born problem solver and he knows really smart people to hire to help solve problems. I’m not concerned about hearing a detailed plan for everything. For my entire lifetime politicians have been coming up with detailed plans that are either poorly thought out or never get implemented. Enough with that. I’m ready to give Trump four years and see what he can do. My only statement to Trump is surprise me.

I think it is assumed by Trump that any military commitment would be in our interest, as well as that of the more immediate beneficiary. An example--the one military action where I disagree with Pat Buchanan & some other advocates--as I am--of adherence to the Washington/Jefferson foreign policy--was in the First Gulf War.

It was not just that the Saudi & Kuwaiti's ponied up much of the cost. It was clearly in our long term interests to have such Capitalist Governments survive, against the threat from the Socialist Iraqi tyrant. (George Bush, Sr., was better advised than was his oldest son.)

DONALD TRUMP IS RIGHT!!!
PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR LISTS!!
A VERY IMPORTANT piece if you want to fully understand the 14th Amendment argument! Folks, some really cunning and not so stupid people are on the verge of STEALING YOUR BIRTHRIGHT AND THAT OF YOUR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN! HELL, THEY’RE STEALING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY!
If you don’t have time to read the entire thing, PLEASE at least read the paragraphs I’ve extracted below. If you’re STILL unclear why those on the left are slinging all this mud on Trump over this one, understand that a large percentage of those who come here ILLEGALLY are initially unable to fully support themselves until they plug into the underground/paid under the table economy and, because the left has created a welfare hammock for them, avail themselves of those programs (at which time many do both). Those programs create a “warm and fuzzy feeling” toward these leftists Democrats, almost guaranteeing they will become DEMOCRAT VOTERS once the left has succeeded in doing away with proof of citizenship in order to vote. (Not to belabor the point, but ask yourself WHY, during his recent trip to Kenya, obozo pledged over 50 million bucks to that corrupt government for A VOTER ID PROGRAM as his Just Us department has blown well over that amount trying to PREVENT STATES FROM REQUIRING PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP HERE??)
Sorry for the rant. Here are those paragraphs that condense much of the legal info in this piece: (See the link below for the entire piece.)

P. A. Madison, a modern day master of constitutional analysis, points out that “since illegal aliens are unlawfully in the US, their native country has a proper and primary claim of allegiance on the child. Thus, the completeness of their allegiance to the US is impaired, which therefore precludes automatic citizenship.” Slam dunk obvious, I’d say.
Also, Rep. Aaron Sargent, a representative from California during the Naturalization Act of 1870 debates, said the 14th Amendment’s citizenship clause was not a de-facto right for aliens to obtain citizenship. Significantly, none of his contemporaries disputed that assertion.
Adding to this mix, here is a little case law since the 14th’s ratification.
In the Slaughterhouse Cases(1873), the Supreme Court observed that the 14th Amendment overturned the Dred Scott decision by making all persons born within the United States and subject to its jurisdiction, citizens of the US; the ruling went on to point out “that [the 14th Amendment’s] main purpose was to establish the citizenship of the Negro” and that “the phrase ‘subject to its jurisdiction’ was intended to exclude from its operation children of ministers, consuls, AND citizens or subjects of foreign states born within the United States”, thus reinforcing Sen. Howard’s construction above. So, since they cannot be subject to US jurisdiction, children of citizens of foreign sovereignities and children of foreign ministers/consuls/ambassadors cannot be lawfully considered US Citizens. Makes perfect sense.

Transcript of Trump in the debate:

As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland. It could have worked in a different age, which is the age you're talking about here.

What I'd like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state. I have a big company with thousands and thousands of employees. And if I'm negotiating in New York or in New Jersey or in California, I have like one bidder. Nobody can bid.

You know why?

Because the insurance companies are making a fortune because they have control of the politicians, of course, with the exception of the politicians on this stage.

But they have total control of the politicians. They're making a fortune.

Get rid of the artificial lines and you will have...

(BUZZER NOISE)

Santorum is unacceptable for a great many reasons, though his endorsement of Specter demonstrated his hypocrisy in some of his moral pontifications.

I cannot speak for anyone else; but the reason that I could never even consider voting for Santroum, is that he does not understand the most basic American political structure: The division of power, responsibilities & legality, between the States and the Federal structure that they created.

He played that song at the end of the rally last night. Brilliant. Another brilliant selection was Rolling Stone's "You can’t always get what you want."

"America needs to get its swagger back"

You make a point that is very interesting, with respect to the subject of this thread.

The greatest benefit--so far--from the explosive Trump campaign, is this. For 50 years, the Left has carefully been constructing what we have called a "politically correct" mindset, for at least the last twenty of those years. It is a psychological structure, based upon the compulsion of Leftwing neurotics for uniformity of thought; but it has also infested the minds of much of the general population, now afraid to bring down on their heads the hysterical gobblings of those Leftwing neurotics.

Trump has demonstrated that throwing off that induced culture of fear, can be a lot of fun. It is contagious. It may well grow into a popular sport. It may ultimately prove the one thing that will finally stop the momentum that is destroying the America that we love and cherish. Think about it.

He said it in his book published in 2011. Excerpts of it have been posted here many times.

Re: “The critics of Trump are amazingly missing something. They are lacking in negative stories from those who work for him or have had business dealings with him.”

That is amazing - since four Trump business units have declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

In other words, on at least four occasions, Trump has convinced people or corporations to lend him money, then, he paid back less than he borrowed.

With a record like that, it seems quite possible that other Trump deals have gone bad, but were settled in private instead of in court.

These facts are not necessarily bad.

Since the USA is sprinting toward national bankruptcy, Trump may be the exactly perfect president to negotiate the terms of our default.

Trump believes that terrorists who are captured should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals like the Obama administration treats them.
Nonsense. They are not uniformed, their commanders have no address. OTOH, it is correct to say that they are not civilian criminals. They are illegal combatants. They don’t get civilian rights - but they don’t get POW rights either.

The thing about the media going after Trump is that people end up hating the media for going after him, and not Trump.

It has taken a while for many to see the Rino threat and betrayals. But the blinders are coming off. Think Trump leading the pack. He is in the middle of the betrayal. Pray God gives him wisdom, prudence and courage in abundance for the common good.
