School leaders in Dickson County decided, after a summer of controversy surrounding the confederate flag, the wise thing to do would be to ban all flags and banners.
Some students are angry as they feel their patriotism is being compromised.
School leaders said there is a right and wrong way to show American pride:
"It's not an unpatriotic act by any means because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride."

Students said they were told they would get kicked out if they bring an American flag onto school property.

Some words and thoughts are deemed “offensive” by the Perpetually Offended Squad, so let’s ban all words while we are at it.
My favorite class of honors kids would've alternate red and white shirts in their rows, and the kids in the back corner would wear blue. They were a solid team. I am confident that they are great places in the world already.

When I was a kid, who would have ever thought that “Christmas” would be a bad word in public places, prayer outlawed in public school, Christians forced to hold their tongues, and faggots would run wild?
Sort of reminds me of my childhood doctor. He was a POW in a Nazi prison camp. He and his comrades made and stitched together a homemade American flag, keeping it constantly hidden from the eyes of the guards, lest they suffer severe punishment if not outright execution. He was the keeper of the flag. When the camp was liberated by the Allies, he reportedly climbed up and raised it on the camp’s flagpole.
I’m just envisioning these students now getting a little taste of that sort of thing, right on our American soil. Pretty unthinkable, just a few years back. But that was when America was still America, not this current insane, pathetic, PC-cowed travesty of a country.
Patriotism isn’t taught in most schools today, just the opposite. But they, the school leaders think they are the all-sufficient benefactors who have authority to control all aspects of students’ lives.

School leaders are obviously saying that to display the American Flag is the wrong way to show American pride, so what’s the proper way? Because some want to show Southern Pride they are going to also banish American pride. I guess mexican pride, islamic pride, and black lives matter are okay. I’ve done business and deer hunted in Dickson County and I doubt I’ve ever known anyone there that would approve of this crap.
More and more people just need their asses kicked.

you know the easiest way to solve this problem. Just ban the students /s, then no conflicts.
All members of the school’s sports teams (football, basketball, baseball, etc.) plus cheerleaders and student council should take flags to school.
It seems most school principals/administrators are total dunces nowadays.
The same for teachers; what is happening is that those who were “educated” in the flawed system are now running it. I respect teachers, if they are over 60 years old; otherwise, they aren’t much brighter (or more mature) than their students.
FWIW, I’m in my mid-forties.
