You’re making a self-fulfilling prophecy. You won’t vote for a candidate who you don’t think can win. You will only vote for a candidate who you think can win. I vote for the best candidate and don’t follow the polls. If everybody did that, then the best candidate would win.

We had Democrat administrations because conservatives caved in and voted for “the guy who could win” instead of the real conservative. Which is exactly what you’re doing with Trump. When we run a real conservative, we win. Every indication is Trump will flip-flop right back to the left on most issues to win the general election. He changes his positions to whatever’s popular at the time with his audience. And he will govern as conservatively as the Clintons. I’ll vote for the true conservative, not the RINO who “can win.”

Nick, you’re an intellectually dishonest person.

The leftmost candidates were Clinton, Gore, Kerry, and Obama. You know that.

Although I voted for the most Conservative guy in the primaries, it was after the most Leftist Republican had already achieved enough delegates to have the nomination sewn up. What’s my options for resolving that issue? Please tell me sage.

I did not vote for Bush the first time around. I voted for him the second because I didn’t think Kerry should be president. Dissatisfaction with Bush was so pronounced, he couldn’t beat Gore or Kerry by more than the skin on his teeth.

I will never vote for the likes of McCain, but I did vote for Romney rather than sit and watch Obama get a second term with no election ahead to modify his desires.

If you had your way, we would have had presidents, Clinton, Gore, Kerry, and Obama. You trash me for voting for the “leftmost candidates”, but fail to grasp what not voting for the second-most Leftist candidates meant.

How did not voting for Romney work out for us? We have a treacherous man the likes of Obama in a lame duck session with no elections in front of him. He’s dismantling our nation piece at a time. Is that what you call victory? Sadly, yes..., it is.

I voted for Romney, and I’m not apologizing for it.

As for your squishy Left comment, which part of our party helped Obama win his second term? Squishy? LOL You couldn’t see any reason to vote for the other guy when it came to Obama’s second term in office. Intellectually, you think I’m the squishy one? No you don’t.

Clinton, Gore, Kerry, and Obama. Then comes Clinton Biden or Sanders. Who even knows after that?

This is what you consider a Conservative’s road-map to ultimate victory for the nation? No Nick, not even you are that stupid. So you ignore the question and throw mud.

We haven’t been able to nominate a Conservative since 1984. In 2016 that will have been 32 years, and you want to try the same method of nominating our candidate, convinced that this time the Conservative will win, when no others could. 32 years Nick.

You could come to grips with this, because it’s crystal clear what has been going on and that it isn’t going to work for us this nomination process anymore than it did in all the rest since 1984, but you refuse to.

I’m voting Trump and you can spin that any way you like. I don’t give a rip. Any guy that would sit still and allow Obama to be elected a second time just to stick it to the GOPe leadership, isn’t qualified to judge me on this.

I’m voting Trump because he may surprise us. Jebra won’t. There’s not a prayer of it. And if it’s not Jebra, it will be another Leftist loser approved by the GOPe. That’s how it always works Nick. You’re here discussing political issues, and you don’t know this?

We have an option. I’m taking it.

As I said before. I’d rather go down taking a chance on someone than vote for the GOPe stooge I know up front won’t help the nation.

Nick, you didn’t even vote to stop Obama from having a second term in office.

Now you’re lecturing me on the finer points of Conservatism?

Who are you working for this time around, Hillary, Joe, or Bernie?

How many Conservatives do you know who didn’t vote for the most Conservative person to be our nominee from 1984 to 2012? I don’t know any Conservative that didn’t vote for the most Conservative person possible.

What happened?

The most Leftist Republican won the nomination.

If you can’t grasp this point, why should I even discuss this with you?

Who is being intellectually dishonest? None of those candidates ever ran in a Republican primary. Show me where ay of them were in a Republican primary.

I can explain it to you, but I cannot make you think if you simple refuse to.

Democrats, Moderate Republicans (Leftists), and Conservatives vote in our nomination process.

Conservatives are outnumbered. Conservative candidates don’t win the nomination.

Conservatives didn’t cave in. They didn’t vote for the guy who would win. They voted for the most Conservative person. They were outnumbered.

Once the GOPe backed person gets the nomination, some Conservatives vow non-support, and refuse to vote for the Leftist Republican in November. I can understand that sentiment, because I have done that myself.

Was it my fault the Democrat won? Perhaps I was in part combined with all the others who refused to vote for the Leftist Republican.

At some point we have to say to ourselves, the GOPe isn’t changing because it can’t win. Instead it’s changing to become a wing of the Democrat party.

At some point we have to admit, shaming the party, or depriving the party of attaining the White House hasn’t worked. Even with Obama winning, the GOPe still won’t move back toward the center.

I don’t know if they thing Lefists win on ideology or what, but they are moving to become like the Democrats, for whatever reason.

We can’t get a Conservative nominee, and you still can’t grasp why. We will NEVER get a Conservative nominee as long as Democrat and Leftist Republicans join forces against us.

This is not an issue of Conservatives not voting for the right guy. They DO.

This time we have a brash guy pushing our agenda. He may not implement all of it. He sounds like he wants to, but who knows. He may only implement part of it.

What do you know about our party’s candidate?

1. he will be left of center
2. he won’t even pretend to agree with us on policy
3. he won’t roll back lefist policy
4. he won’t implement our policy
5. he ill implement at least part of the leftist policy

What do we know about Trump?

1. he will be Conservative in some ways, and possibly more Left than we want in ohters
2. he will at least pretend to grasp our concepts of Conservatism
3. he will roll back some of the leftist ideology
4. he won’t implement everything we want
5. he may implement some leftist policy too.

Which of these is worse?

Is it better than Bernie, Hillary, or Joe?

We can get Trump elected.

He will do at least part of what needs to be done. He may in fact do a lot of things that need to be done.

Nothing is certain, with regard to Trump.

What is definitely certain about the GOPe guy, he won’t do a single thing to help us. PERIOD.

Ted Cruz will not be the nominee. Conservatives in sufficient numbers to nominate him DO NOT EXIST. When you’ve come to grips with that, move on.

Trump will only win the nomination because Trump Democrats, Trump Moderate Republicans, and some Conservatives vote to nominate him.

No Democrats will vote for Cruz. No Moderate Republicans will vote for Cruz.

Cruz is a good guy, who was numerically eliminated before he even entered the race.

He’s just like every other Conservative who has run since 1984. Numerically an orphan...

How did I not stop Obama's second term? I didn't champion Romney in the primary like you did?

By the way, if you are against an Obama term, when why are you supporting one of the people who was a key factor in him getting a second term?

So you admit that you always vote for the leftmost candidate and you want to do it again this year. The truth comes out. Trump supporters are the people who voted for Dole, Bush, and Romney.

Nick, these were the options I was given after I did vote for the most Conservative person during the primaries.

I admitted to voting for these people in the general election.

Honestly Nick, do you think you're making points by being this silly?

No, we are talkiung about the primaries and supporting Trump in the primaries, so when you said you supported Dole, Bush, and Romney, it meant in the primaries. That's the analogy from right now. We aren't at the general election yet.

By the way, you never mentioned McCain, so you voted for Obama in 2008?

Please point to one post on this forum where I supported Romney in the primary. Find one where I supported Bush in the primaries. Find one where I supported Dole or McCain in the primaries.

Trump was not a key factor in Obama’s second term victory.

Nick, you’ve crossed over into total delusion here.

This is a workup I did on McCain in 2008. See how much support he got from me that year.

You are being silly. We are talking about the primaries. You want to support the farthest left of 17 candidates in the primaries. A person who is socially liberal, and fiscally even more liberal. Someone who has a Clintonian relationship with the truth. You've supported the RINO candidate in every primary except 2008, and now you want someone who is worse than a RINO.
