Ted Cruz TRUMPS Megyn Kelly on unfair question, says ‘I’m not playing the media’s game’
The Right Scoop ^ | 8/25/15 | staff

Posted on 08/25/2015 7:14:01 PM PDT by VinL

Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens. But Cruz refused to answer it the way Megyn Kelly wanted him to. She accused him of dodging the question, but Cruz responded that the question that she and other mainstream media journalists want to ask is a distraction from actually fixing the problem of illegal immigration and then explained how to fix it.

It was awesome.

Uh, You’re talking about Ted Cruz or someone else. He’s pretty darn good on this issue. Possibly the best of the bunch. Trump even suggests some amnesty provisions for the ‘good ones’.

Trump answered the same question forthrightly without hesitation.

Cruz looked every bit like the DC lawyer/politician he is.

Cruz comes off as wimpy. It’s too bad, because I think he is the best candidate.

He comes off wimpy because he is wimpy. He is a very weak man.

The way to judge this phoney Conservatives is to try imagine the ones that would pick up a sword in defense of Liberty.

Cruz never, Trump - yes, very easily.

I am sick and tired of these pandering politicians.

Cruz was handling media this way when Trump was still a Democrat.

Bingo!

Right now a lot of people love Trump because he is a warrior that doesn't back down.

Cruz has always been a warrior. The difference is he doesn't start fights, but when they come he doesn't back down.

Cruz is my first choice. If he doesn't get the nomination and Trump does. I'll probably vote for Trump.

If you can't tell the difference between him and any of the rest, I can't help you.

He couldn’t answer the question about children of illegals or explain his back flip on the Constitutional issue and she called him on it.

As I see it, Cruz refused to play her game, just like Trump did. But no matter, everyone sees it differently.

Have a good night.

> “Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens.”

Ted should have said “All those here illegally broke the law and have to go, no exceptions.”

In Dubai or anywhere in the UAE, which is run by ultra-conservatives, and where there is thriving commerce and trading, like Hong Kong is to China, Dubai is to the Middle East, the laws for entering and staying illegally are so strict that people are fined $1600 if their Visa is expired even one day. And if they don’t pay the fine, they go to jail while preparations are made to deport them. And they are never allowed to come back.

UAE manages and controls their borders very well. Rarely are their problems. A child born to a visa holder while in the UAE is not given citizenship but they may be granted permanent residency on a case by case basis.

What the UAE is doing with respect to border control and citizenship/permanent residence is what America needs to do. And just as Trump says, and what happens in Dubai which is an international city for trade, you can come in, start a business, make lots of money, have a great life, have kids but you must do so legally, you must obey the law or else you pay a big fine and you’re out of there never to come back. There’s no room for argument.

I believed that until recently. His recent comments on birth right citizenship left a chill in my bones. I came to the conclusion that he is a pandering fraud.

I now see the cold hard reality that Cruz would agree to grant Amnesty to all 40M illegal invaders. Wtih chain migration will become a spanish speaking third world sewer in 30 years.

Cruz is weak and does not deserve the support of any Constitutional Conservative..

Cruz is a very good lawyer and the weight of the legal evidence does support the 14th Amendment granting birthright citizenship to everyone born while their parents are living in the U.S. under U.S. law. Most scholars think the “under the jurisdiction...” of the United States clause was simply intended to exclude the children of diplomats and native americans born on reservations where they were governed by treaty not U.S. law. Mark Levin is in a very small minority if he thinks that this can easily be changed without a constitutional amendment.

Deport the parents and send the kids with them. It’s the only humanitarian thing to do.

Amen. That’s exactly what Trump has said, on this issue. If we don’t say it, are we “heartless”? Good grief.

It wasn’t awesome, it was disappointing. As a Cruz supporter I want him to say, “ Megyn, if the parents are here illegally, they must be returned to their own country. I assume they will take the children with them.”

That’s it, it’s simple. Really this is the first time I’ve been disappointed in him, but will give him a pass this time.
