The question that I haven’t seen addressed is when they find the hackers, will they be charged with any crime because of these deaths?
And let’s not forget the hackers did this to blackmail the Ashley Madison people, so that’s a crime right there. They didn’t do it as some kind of morality crusade. Whether they can be held responsible for anyone’s death, that might be a bit of a stretch legally. But morally I think they are responsible for these deaths and whatever other mayhem ensues and I wonder if that thought ever crossed their minds.
I’m not saying it’s a great thing to cheat on your wife or husband, but being reckless with people’s lives isn’t a great thing either.
