When it comes to fake news stories, if anyone's an expert it's Dan Rather . . . The disgraced former CBS News anchor has a new twist on the vast right-wing conspiracy. Instead of plotting against poor innocents like Bill and Hillary, those conspiratorial conservatives are now creating phony feuds among themselves!
On Rachel Maddow's show tonight, Rather declared himself "suspicious" about the battle between Donald Trump and Fox News, suggesting that Trump and Roger Ailes might have "gotten together and planned out" the feud for their mutual benefit.

I hate to agree with a walking turd like Rather, but of course he’s right. He understands the conversation in Roger Ailes office is not about poor Megyn or meanie Donald or conservative philosophy - it’s about viewers, advertizing revenue for FNC, and money for everyone.

I don’t doubt the animosity between Trump and Kelly but there is no war between Trump and FOX. In fact I think that stems from the big argument they had over Pam Geller and free speech that FReepers don’t want to talk about.
FOX and friends still sets aside time for a phone in interview with Trump every single week.

Trump gets time on Greta and Hannity. I see him more on FOX than any other candidate including their alleged Jeb bias. I was being facetious and think the FOX bias against Trump is a no show. We all whine when we perceive bias. I'm a Cruz supporter but I expect my candidate to plow thru.
So in other words, Rather suspects Fox and Trump of both doing a competent job at fake-news right-wing advocacy as compared with his incompetent fake-news left-wing advocacy. Hey Dan, if you’re going to fake a story, at least do it in a way that the average pajama-wearing internet user can’t uncover the proof of your fraud!
