It was painfully easy, and just plain painful, to watch the country's latest high-profile shooting. This one was captured on live television as a gunman killed a news reporter and a cameraman and injured the woman they were interviewing. Within hours, a person believed to be the shooter tweeted what looked like a first-person video of the slayings.
The staccato pops of the gunshots made my heart leap. The stories of the victims — Alison Parker, a 24-year-old reporter for a Roanoke, Va., television station, and Adam Ward, 27, a cameraman — made anyone with an ounce of humanity hurt.

That guy was literally INCHES from the camera man and a few feet from the reporter... He could just as easily stabbed both of them with a knife or beat them with a baseball bat...Face it. he was an EVIL bastard intent on killing...
The good guys were the people with the guns; the police.

The media that sensationalized other shootings and influenced this mentally disturbed individual to take lives.
So NOW they wanted a white guy with a gun to be present to shoot the black dude?

The truth is, if one of the 3 victims had had a gun and stopped the killer, the press wouldn’t have discussed this. On top of that, the preventer of the crime would have likely been charged with brandishing a weapon.
When will we all realize this nonsense isn’t about saving lives but about restricting our freedom to protect ourselves from an ever-encroaching government?

Gee, I guess that is the only thing left since things like the Confederate flag and the Civil War and “The Dukes of Hazzard” were not involved with this as they were with what happened in Charleston.
Ask their employer...probably had a “no gun” policy. Did you note the place was completely empty of people?
As an aside, I wonder what would have happened if the killer had reached the end of Rt 66 east and ran into the magic barrier at the edge of DC. Would he have bounced off, for as we know, there are no guns allowed in the district?
For a lot of people than will only occur when they hear the closing of the concentration camp gate behind them.

Terry McAwful (Leftist Clinton crony Gov of Va) has already called the grieving dad who is vowing to DO SOMETHING about crazies getting guns as a legacy for his daughter. I understand where the dad is coming from & we’ve had several shootings/stabbing in Va. by those that are mentally ill as this guy no doubt was. As usual, the Left’s solution to a minority of mentally ill people getting guns will be to take them away from the majority. This poor dad, with all his good intentions and intense grief, will be a perfect patsy for the Leftists, Bloomberg, etc. It’s sickening - what happened yesterday in particular, why this guy fell through the cracks, and how it will be exploited by the Leftist gun grabbers.
The simple fact is that an ambush with any kind of a weapon is very hard to defend against in the initial stage. Guess what, that is why it is a popular military and nut job tactic.
