Every Day Carry, or EDC, as the name implies, are the things you carry every day. Car keys, wallet, etc. From a preparedness perspective however, your EDC may be all you have available in an emergency situation or all that you have to help get you home.
Remington 870 in the car and ten rounds double ought. I pretty much can get everything else within four miles from work or home.
I love my 20. It’s about as close as you get to carrying a battle rifle under your shirt without actually carrying a battle rifle under your shirt. I just put some mepro light tritiums on mine this week. Looking at getting a KKM threaded barrel for it next. I love that gun.
Love the PMR-30. There is a carbine version (RMR-30) that uses the same mags as the pistol.
IMO, a very underrated survival pistol/carbine combination.
A few notes:
Your 4” blade may not be legal in CA. Typically it was a maximum of 3” blade. Though such laws have been fluid of late.
Reading glasses need a primary and alternate. A credit card sized wallet Fresnel lens magnifier is a great backup:

Ink on paper tens to run in the rain or other water, pencil on paper does not.
A cellphone has automatic GPS tracking by about any level of government including local police. Your communications on it are not private as well. So if you must have one, you should have single, one-use code words to communicate important ideas.
A battery powered quartz watch will typically last around four years. Replacement batteries around two years. Much better than solar.
You might consider a nylon strap rappel belt (1 ton test) as your ordinary pants belt. With a carabiner on it, it is useful in many emergency situations.
I’m a fan of flashlights, and you might consider one that is multifunction. Many different styles including hand dynamo powered, flashing, red light, area light, etc.
Weapons that are not thought of as weapons but are effective as weapons. For instance, a common Master lock on woven parachute cord handle works well as a blackjack.
A neckerchief is better than a hankie, because it is typically long enough to use as a sling or like an ACE bandage.

When I feel my knife is not enough, its my S&W Mod 36 with a 3” bbl.
I got my first when I was stationed in Pensacola, 74 - 78. I had grown up with rifles, just no pistols. I found out real fast, pistols take a lot of practice. We would try and shoot at least once a week at the many sand pits. After each shooting session, we would gather the lead that the rain had brought to the surface. And I would cast and reload for the next time. I was able to reload for cheaper than you could buy .22 shells. It wasn’t long before I could outshoot my Shipmates with that Chief’s Special.

Left front pocket: Swiss army knife, money clip.
Right front pocket: Keys.
Right front watch pocket (Levis 501s): Challenge coin, JIC.
Left rear pocket: Wallet.
Right rear pocket: Gerber skeleton 4" folder.
Right hip: Kimber .45 in Milt Sparks Summer Special holster.
Left hip: Spare magazine and Surefire 6PX Defender flaslight in an Akers combo holster (very nice package, BTW).
Also left hip in front of the flashlight/mag holder: Cell phone in clip holster. Had to change to the left years ago and retrain my habit after I started carrying.
That's about it.
Yes and a 1-2 year waiting list. I waited over a year for mine. I could sell it for at least $750 right now. But no way. It is louder than a you know what and a 12 inch muzzle flash. If I miss it will still scare you to death. LOL!
Mine is sans pliers and a much cheaper knock off version I picked up at a flea market for a buck. I have used the heck out of it and it works great.
A folding knife I picked up at a flea market for a buck (the guy had 20 so I bought them all and passed them out to family and friends)
Three Mylar "space blankets" in case we get caught out and need to keep warm.
Two cheap LED flashlights.
An Emergency Zombiepocaylpse lighter (so-called because it it wrapped in paracord with a loop and a carabiner clip. NOT part of my three fire starting systems)
All of the necessary cords for my phone to charge it and to hook it to a computer. And of course my fire phone.
ID and cash and cards etc.
And other things that are subject to the first rule of Fight Club.

You must live in Maryland like I do.
I’m not that concerned as far as getting home since my work is 5 miles from the house. I live in a rural area and once I’m home I can be self sufficient for a fairly long time.
Work wise I’m good.. like minded individuals..
I hate cities and stay away from them and the scum that surrounds them.
Cell phones are tracking devices and I seldom if ever have one on me.
Watches ?? I don’t care what time it is, it’s either day or night.
LED Flashlight, knife and a few odds and end are always in the truck 40’ from where I sit at work.

Interesting. I have had no issues with mine. My 500 magnum will occasionally fire off a second round due to the recoil though. It definitely gets your attention. I just came into some money here today actually and I’m thinking it’s about time to find a nice Python. or a Barret. or a new roof. decisioons decisions.

Travaling = traveling and schovel = shovel
LOL, if you can get the bad guys to line up, you can take them all out with one well placed round on the lead guy. ... I bought a Norinco 1911 for the very purpose of converting to Roland 460. Haven’t gotten around to it though ...
I had a 2.5” .357 mag that would do the same with full-house loads. Always a crowd pleaser.
