Yawn. If there was a real opposition party who played by the same rules the Dems do, this capitulation would have been nothing more than a passing conversation..

.... if he [Reid] and the president ram it down the throats of the American people.

********************************

This strategy has been working just fine for Reid & Obama to advance their agendas so why not go with a proven winner? They’re not the stupid ones .....

I’m sure the republicans have other options they could use to oppose it. like making it have to be a real fillibuster. but they are, as always, I’m sure, too cowardly to do any of it.

The only people they ever have enough courage to criticize are their own unrepresented constituents and Donald Trump.

Time for a third (or is that second?) party.

If the Jews in the Senate cared to prevent Iran from visiting a Nuclear Holocaust on Israel where their Jewish brothers who survived the Nazis live they would vote it down.

Franken, Feinstein, Boxer and more will vote Dem and like Jews did in WWII they will watch Iran destroy what Hitler didn’t finish.

May they are their kids and grandkids be cursed forever.

If Harry Reid has his way, Congress won’t even get the little oversight we were provided in Corker-Cardin. He is obstructing because he is scared.

He knows that a majority of Americans and Senators oppose this dangerous deal, and that its only chance for survival is if he and the president ram it down the throats of the American people.

The Congress and the president should speak with one voice when it comes to dealing with the Iranians, but it seems that Harry Reid believes that only his and the president’s voices matter.”

Noted.

Now. Force Reid to actually stand up and talk. Not just “threaten.” Make him do it for several weeks.

I have said this before. Donald Trump is a third party candidate running as a Republican. He is the choice of the disaffected Republican voters who have been sold down the river by the GOP over the past few years.Republican leadership had better heed the warnings (but they won’t). If we do not get some serious conservative push back, and Trump doesn’t get the nomination, 2020 is the year of the third party. I am done.

Change your word 'believes' to 'knows damn well', and you've got it nailed....McConnell and Boner seem to be AWOL, as usual.

Sen. Tom Cotton is one of the few good guys in this entire “Iran bill” debacle. He sent the letter to Iran stating that the only legitimate deal between the US and foreign powers is via the US Senate treaty ratification process.

Sadly, he was attacked for his position by democrats but ALSO....and vehemently...by republicans, who now swear they always thought it was a lousy deal.

Corker sold the US down the river for a bowl of pottage.

McConnell and Boner work for the same masters as Obama and Reid.

McConnell could still declare it a treaty and abandon the Corker bill, then proceed with a treaty vote. The Corker bill has been violated in so many ways already.

But that would take a backbone and McConnell doesn't have one.

The idiot repubs gave away their oversight. What traitors to their electorate and to the Constitution.

To top it off the idiot Cotton passed his bill to give the senate’s oversight away. What a Clymer!

It doesn't matter. The treaty clause is still supreme law and McConnell can just declare the Corker bill to be nullified and that he is going to follow Article II Section 2.

Levin just asked Cruz this very question.

"Corker sold the US down the river for a bowl of pottage"

Hell, we didn't even get that.

And EVERY Republican in the Senate, except Tom Cotton is complicit.

Every stinkin' on of them.

Of course not, and neither does Cruz. He just said McConnell won't do it.

McConnell could still declare it a treaty

Is that true? Does he really have a way to make it mean something?

Wouldn't Emperor Homobama just undeclare it anyway?

Cruz and Trump are supposed to have a rally in September over the Iranian deal. Maybe they can pressure McConnell because of Reid threatening the filibuster.
