Flashback: ABC News Envisioned Apocalyptic 2015 Triggered By Climate Change [VIDEO]
Daily Caller ^ | 08/30/2015 | Kerry Picket

ABC News ran a news special in 2009 called Earth 2100, a program warning its viewers about the dangers of climate change.

ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff says the show “puts participants in the future and asks them to report back about what it is like to live in this future world. The first stop is the year 2015.”

A Harvard University professor says, “We’re going to see more floods, more droughts, more wildfires.”

Other voices can be heard saying that “Flames cover hundreds of square mile” and “We expect more intense hurricanes.” Another voice says, “Well, how warm is it going to get? How much will sea level rise? We don’t know really know where the end is.”

Describing dangerous temperature levels and dropping agricultural production, the news package brings in The Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen, who says, “There’s about one billion people who are malnourished. That number just continually grows.”

The doomsday predictions for 2015 go further and include $12.00 for a gallon of milk and $9.00 a gallon for gasoline, if there is any gas at all that is left.

The doomsday predictions for 2015 go further ...
Doesn't matter if they were wrong - all wrong. It's the seriousness of the charge that matters.

When a millenial cult gets the date wrong, they just change the date.

Is Sandy the last Hurricane that hit US land?

We know that was October of 2012.

And Sandy was not technically a hurricane when it made landfall in New Jersey.

The problem with predictions of doom just a few years in advance is that many people might remember some of those predictions.

Now, the ones that had the planet exploding in the next century are less easy to track, so none can really say the prediction was wrong.

This ‘consensus of scientists’ keep trying to sell the same pig-in-a-poke, as other scientists keep letting the cat-out-of-the-bag with facts.

Near future researchers will need to be careful, as the consensus have been falsifying data to fit their projections.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

“There’s about one billion people who are malnourished. That number just continually grows.”
Because their parents don’t know how to support their children, and they rely on money from countries where people know how to work at a job.

Sandy was not a hurricane when it made landfall. That’s why they had to come up with the name “Superstorm Sandy”.

RE: “There’s about one billion people who are malnourished. That number just continually grows.”

These folks should go to the library and grab this book...

The conventional wisdom is that global warming, Terrorism, drug abuse, crime, AIDS and all the rest of the crises threatening humanity lead us to the conclusion that the "good old days" were somehow better, safer and saner than today.

But, if things are so bad why is infant mortality going down around the world? If things are on the edge of anarchy why are proportionately fewer of us hungry, or sick today than one hundred years ago. If things are going to hell in a handbasket why is our life expectancy steadily improving? These are inconvenient questions. The answers are tough on the prophets of doom.

Luckily, the conventional wisdom is wrong. Stephen Moore and Julian Simon prove this convincingly. Facts are often inconvenient. But, if you want to know the facts, this is the book for you.

I think it was Isaac Asimov, had a story about special spaceships that skimmed along the surface of the sun, to control the weather on the earth.

Other than that, ya got me.

Nothing jump starts a vibrant and diverse ecosystem better than a good wildfire. Other than to protect structures and avoid insurance losses, I have no idea why we try to put them out?

A year after a forest fire, the area is thick with ground nesting birds, grazing animals like elk and deer, predators like coyotes, foxes, bobcats, etc...

Mel Ellis, the famous naturalist used set fire to sterile old growth areas. He said there were no animals, no food sources, no floor growth to provide cover and protection, and the best way to bring all the animals back was to set it on fire.

Speaking of which, tropical storm Erika is petering out and tracking west of FL. No hurricane for you!

Wildfires are a natural part of the ecosystem.....trouble is our forest management practices. Today's wildfires have the potential to decimate entire forests because there is too much fuel on the forest floor

Answer: By taxing all of the other specks as a sacrifice to the Sun god.
