The US is a secular republic, and you don’t get to operate as a public employee or even private business owner in violation of civil rights, including public accommodations, laws on the basis of religious objections. Thus also you can’t legally refuse to serve Jews in your pizzeria or issue a mixed Jewish/Christian or Muslim couple a marriage license because you have a religious belief that “the Jews” killed Christ or that Allah and the Prophet forbid it. You want to be able legally to refuse such things or refuse homosexual couples marriage licenses? Join the clergy. Civil rights law applies to a lesser extent in houses of worship. But a pizzeria or a clerk’s office isn’t a church, a mosque, or a synagogue.

This is the law in Kentucky

Ky. Rev. Stat. 402.020(1)(d) Marriage between members of the same sex is prohibited and void

In the US justice system, secular law supersedes God’s, whether we like it or not. Thus also you’ll face prison or execution if you murder a Wiccan, and citing Exodus 22:18 (”Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live”) will not help you.

The Lord defined marriage in Genesis. Indeed, any other definition is based on a lie. From the father of lies. (John 8:44)

Such laws are now a dead letter, as laws barring interracial marriage became a dead letter in 1967 with the Loving vs Virginia SCOTUS decision, even without states repealing their anti-miscegenation laws.

I understand your argument and you present it well. I agree with much of it.
I think that if I were in this lady’s position, I would resign and run for a different office at the next opportunity. ;-)

The USSC (and other courts) have acted far beyond their authority. Capitulating to lawlessness makes one a partner in lawlessness.

If you think that we are a secular Republic, you will no doubt be astounded to learn that Jesus is mentioned in the US Constitution and that the President is explicitly exempted from working on the Sabbath. And lest you think this is some how a mistake, the Articles of Confederation, also mention God and Jesus prominently in the document. The Declaration of Independence, which is the document which actually founded the nation, also bases it's claim to independence from rights given by God.

Also Abraham Lincoln would disagree with you. He thinks we are a Christian nation.

No, we have been lied to and deliberately misinformed about this. We were NOT founded as a Secular Nation. We were founded as one that recognized different of the 13 states had different official state religions which were all denominations of Christianity, but denominations with different doctrines, and concerned about how they would be treated if one denomination was chosen as the official religion.

The exclusions of religious tests to hold office were done to allay they fears of differing states with different dominant denominations, not to create a "secular" government.

But we have long been lied to and mislead about this.

in violation of civil rights

Our "civil rights" laws continually trample and crush our Natural and Constitutional rights.

A flaw with that argument is that no major society has ever recognized marriage between members of the same gender. Marriage has always meant a union of opposite genders.

The nature of humans requires opposite genders for humanity to survive. That some couples may not produce offspring does not invalidate the requirement. Homosexual unions can not - by their very nature - produce offspring.

Comparing homosexual unions to bans on interracial marriage is nonsense.

Perversion is a twisting of facts/reality, which forms a lie (a dishonest picture/representation). No disagreement with you here, mostly just semantics. Some days I am more lucid than others. :)

If there is not a cloud in the sky and the sun is shining, I wouldn't need to state that as a matter of opinion. I would have no need to frame it as, "I *believe* that there is not a cloud in the sky and that the sun is shining", even though I would be stating my belief. Reality is what it is.

It is disturbing that the definition of marriage (man and woman) is being framed as a religious belief, which has a connotation of being merely a deeply-held opinion or conviction, but not necessarily the truth.

Radicalize and demonize the opinion, and the believers of said "opinion" can be banished from the public square or worse. The radical opinion (truth) can be run out of town on a rail, pushed by the momentum of a mob of consensus worshipers.

If such things as homosexual marriage and "sex-change" are indeed "fake" or "lies" or are untrue or not real, then there would appear to be no need to deal with them at all. There is no need to address things that don't exist.

In a sane world, that's how it worked. When I was growing up there was no crazy talk about homo marriages or transgenders. But for those who need to create something out of nothing, such as rights that don't exist, they pull stunts like this:

That’s precisely why we have a Second Amendment - Now its just a matter of the will to apply it in force.

You’re cracked. The Constitution makes no mention of Jesus or God. The Declaration of Independence cites a “Creator” (not necessarily the Christian God, and indeed Jefferson, who privately denied Jesus’ divinity, was possibly a deist, but definitely not a Christian). However, the Declaration, unlike the Constitution, is not a part of US law. It’s purely an inspirational document.

The “Party” may ignore the issue - but the voters will not.

You err. In addition to the US, the societies of Brazil, Uruguay, France, Belgium, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, South Africa, and Canada all have same-sex marriage as a matter of law, however much you or I dislike it.

Recently enacted as another spasm in their rush to suicide. Their Muslim replacements will quickly strip the continent of all those stupid and nonsensical laws.

He should have said no SANE or Stable nation has ever done such a thing.
