Katie Steinle, 32, was walking along Pier 14 with her father when she was allegedly shot in the back by undocumented immigrant Francisco Sanchez on July 1.

The gun used in the shooting was stolen from the car of a Bureau of Land Management ranger.

The tragedy sparked a national debate regarding the sanctuary policy that allowed Sanchez to be out on the streets on the night of Steinle's murder.

Sanchez, 45, was in the custody of San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi, who released him in April without notifying US Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a 20-year-old marijuana possession charge was dropped.

Federal officials had requested to detain Sanchez, who has been deported five times and was wanted for a sixth removal from the country, for deportation proceedings.

Good for them. The money will never bring back their daughter, but this needs to be front and center. This article says she was allegedly shot in the back? Allegedly? What crappy wording.

I hope the relatives win.

OTOH, they lived - voluntarily I presume - in San FranSicko? A sanctuary city? What the old saying? You made you bed, now lie in it?

They should add the City of San Francisco to their list of litigation. That city’s sanctuary city policy enabled that criminal invader to return illegally in the first place.

San Francisco Sheriff (and convicted wife-beater) Ross
Mirkarimi is a scumbag who gets scummier everyday.

Lib/zit Mirkarimi came out w/ guns blazing--defending sanctuary city policies in no uncertain terms after the Steinle killing. Yet, when the creep sees an illegal felon he gets all soft and sentimental. Now, if was doing the job he's paid for on behalf of the safety of the city's citizens----he could have held the killer felon for spitting on the sidewalk---or some similar ordinance.

WIKI--Rostam Mirkarimi was born in Chicago to Nancy Kolman, a 19-year-old descended from Russian Jews, and Hamid Mirkarimi, an Iranian immigrant. His parents divorced when he was 5. Prior to being Sheriff, Ross Mirkarimi served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, representing District 5 from 2005 to 2011.

Mirkarimi was elected sheriff in November 2011. He served from January to March 2012, at which time he was charged with domestic violence battery, child endangerment, and dissuading a witness in connection with a December 31, 2011 New Year's Eve altercation with his wife, Ileana.

MUG SHOT--- Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi

WIKI--Mayor Ed Lee suspended the Sheriff from office pending an ethics investigation. Sheriff Mirkarimi pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor false imprisonment.

LOCK-STEPPING LIB/ZITS According to the San Francisco city charter, removing a public official for misconduct requires the vote of nine of eleven supervisors; only seven supervisors voted to remove Mirkarimi from his office and he was reinstated in October 2012.

Mirkarimi is a co-founder of the Green Party of California. However, in March 2010, he became a Democrat.

Suing the stupid Sheriff is a good start.

Now the family should go after the San/Fran mayor and Bd of Supervisors. They should all have been arrested and tossed in jail.....for being accessories to murder of beautiful Kate Steinle.

The Steinle family should also go after the insurance carriers for San/Fran.....and the insurance carried by all the above-named individuals.

All the San/Fran public (gag) officials, like the lawyers, should have malpractice insurance, as well.

The Steinle's need to bring in the FBI.

OF INTEREST TO LAW ENFORCEMENT The FBI should interrogate individuals in official San/Fran administration for evidence of multiple schemes to falsify official documents to further fraudulent schemes, and the filing of official documents that were falsified. The FBI should investigate any and all official documents submitted by the administration for falsified entries.

Crimes might include--govt fraud, conspiracy, collusion, falsifying official documents (a felony), money laundering, tax evasion, extortion, theft, misuse of public facilities.

=========================================

NOW IS THE TIME TO OPEN THE BOOKS

San/Fran Mayor Lee controls billions in tax revenue.....local tax revenue, state tax revenue, federal tax revenue. San/Fran is a global tourist destination----the tax take from tourism (added to restaurant and hotel bills) must be in the billions.

THIS ITEM IN THE SAN FRANCISO LIB/ZIT BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S BUDGET REPORT IS A HUGE RED FLAG--- And I quote: "For the first time in fifteen years, the Mayor’s Budget Office did not ask Departments to make any reductions in their budgets. Although the current deficit projections look better than last year, we will still be forced to make difficult decisions to produce a balanced budget."

UT-OH Asking Dept's to reduce budgets? In a world renowned city that is teeming w/ tax revenue? Local revenue. State Revenue. Federal Revenue. Tax revenue from world-wide tourism alone must be in the billions.

Where is all the money going?

FYI---a govt official asking for agency reductions is the very same MO used by the Illinois govt official who stole $80 million tax dollars using a secret bank account to siphon off govt tax revenue.

OPEN THE BOOKS OF SANCTUARY CITY NOW---ACTION PROJECTS---(1) find the banks that handle sanctuary city municipal finances; (2) find sanctuary city insurance carriers; (3) find the number of identities the Steinle killer uses to ride the gravy train; (4) find sanctuary city agencies' fraudulent use of tax dollars.

The "allegedly" is for the actions of the arrested and charged perp, not the fact she was shot in the back.

I don’t see how a “sanctuary city” can not be accountable for the actions of it’s protected illegal non-citizens?

The SEC, FBI, banking overight agencies, and the IRS, would be interested in the activities of state/city entities WRT issuing bonds AND the whereabouts of the bond revenue.

EMAIL---FBI TIPS PAGE https://tips.fbi.gov

EMAIL--enforcement@SEC.gov

Contact the IRS Fraud Unit

EMAIL Banking oversight agencies

============================================

Taxpayers should find out which banks are facilitating this.
<><> Which banks are designated the repositories of municipal tax dollars.
<><> Which banks are dispensing tax-exempt bond proceeds.

The Bank Secrecy Act should be mobilized----to follow the paper trail and determine how monies changed hands; to determine the scope and dimension of collusion in sub rosa deals and who might be personally profiting.

<><> L/E needs to examine San/Fran officials' bank accounts.

<><> Joint bank accounts might be used to facilitate the transfer funds from one account to another, and/or wire-transferred offshore;

<><> To cover his tracks, fake invoices might be created to show that money deposited into accounts was being used for legitimate purposes.

<><> Financial schemes scheme might be advanced by issuing phony statements of payments from financial sources that actually covered the transfer of funds for insiders' personal use and/or for redistribution schemes.

===============================================

NOTE WELL Under the Bank Secrecy Act, banks are required to establish, implement and maintain programs designed to detect and report suspicious activity indicative of money laundering and other financial crimes. “The Bank Secrecy Act was enacted to protect the public from harm by identifying and detecting money laundering from criminal enterprises, terrorism, tax evasion or other unlawful activities,” the special agent in charge for Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, explained.

Shady banking transactions could be prosecuted under the (1) Bank Secrecy ACT, (2) RICO, and, (3) the Hobbs Act.

=============================================

<><> L/E should get ahold of: (1) copies of city checks, (2) wire transfers, (3) account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) correspondence including snail mail, e-mail, mobile devices, cell phones, (8) contracts, (9) loan agreements, (10) other account books or official records.

L/E should also explore (a) monies paid to brokers, sub- brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers.

<><> L/E should scrutinize bank accounts for suspicious activites: (A) large deposits, (B) funds transferred from one account into another, (C) frequent requests for withdrawals.

<><> Bank records might also show diversions to secret LLC accounts, to money launder and to operate personal ventures;

Tax fraud may also be a factor, facilitated by withdrawals, gift cards purchases, credit card purchases and intra-bank transfers from legal bank accounts into personal accounts, or redistribution schemes.

<><> A huge tipoff is whether bank withdrawals support and luxurious lifestyle including payments for real estate, investment and stock holdings, jewelry, luxury vehicles, resort travel....... and gifts from luxury outlets.

Cities do not have a sheriff. Counties have sheriffs, not cities.

By your twisted logic she deserved to be shot in the back because of where she chose to live. No wonder people say conservatives are slack jawed, knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Anyway, they live across the bay, they were visiting San Francisco.
