Then I’ll wing it, like usual for the “Classical Music to Waller In.”

"Jerusalem" c 1984 LTOS

The Cats of Jerusalem
Are varied and many.
You search for their masters.
But they haven't any.
They climb on the dumpster,
In the hot mid east sun.
And melt into shadows,
When day is done.

We feel ghosts all around.
We are on holy ground.
Jerusalem, it's something you can feel,
Jerusalem, and I can tell you that it's real.
Overwhelmed by the flood,
of centuries of blood,
And waiting for the opening of the Seventh Seal.

The alleys of Jerusalem,
On a hot, smokey morning.
Old men play backgammon
beneath a grey awning.
Kids with machine guns,
Sit high on the wall.
They don't seem to notice us,
Or they don't cvare at all.

We feel ghosts all around.
We are on holy ground.
Jerusalem, it's something you can feel,
Jerusalem, and I can tell you that it's real.
Overwhelmed by the flood,
of centuries of blood,
And waiting for the opening of the Seventh Seal.

The spires of churches,
And high minarets,
Turn their backs on each other,
As the hazy sun sets,
The streets empty quickly, leaving blank, stony faces
Until the dawn.

We feel ghosts all around.
We are on holy ground.
Jerusalem, it's something you can feel,
Jerusalem, and I can tell you that it's real.
Overwhelmed by the flood,
of centuries of blood,
And waiting for the opening of the Seventh Seal.

Thank you, Rus, for our wonderful lesson from God’s Word!

Babel’s Tower would be a cool place to visit...out of curiosity only, ya know. :)

The olden Maps interest me as much as the new maps, but there is one way home.

Gotta go hug pillows now.

You Should Go See the Pyramids
You are very giving - so giving that you occasionally get taken advantage of.
You let yourself escape whenever you need to. You don't think there's anything wrong with a little daydreaming.

You get easily swept away and are a total delight to fall in love with. You are prone to whirlwind romances.
You are a mystical person at times. You believe there's more to this world than what you see.

You Should Go See the Taj Mahal
Oooooo!!! Good choice!
You have a fun personality, and you find it easy to get energized about almost anything.
When people meet you, they tend to remember you for a long time. You create a lasting impression.*snork* [usually from something dumb I've done! LOL!]

You are open to the world, and that's part of what makes you unforgettable. You are free-spirited. [I do long to see more of the world before it's too late!]
You try to keep things flexible because you're always picking a new path. You value adaptability.

I made a few corrections. It was hard to remember the lyrics and do HTML at the same time:

Notice that many of these wonderful destinations (Pyramids, Taj Mahal, etc) are TOMBS?

Just sayin.

You Should Go See Acropolis
You can be quite academic in your approach to things. You are scholarly and bookish.
You are high achieving. You perform well no matter what situation you're in.

You are resourceful and capable. You have an ingenious way of getting things done.
You are very opinionated. And you never keep your opinions to yourself!

My pleasure...it has been years since I have sung this song, but I was able to remember it.

Jerusalem made SUCH an impression on me. I was able to see the things that tourists are unable to access these days because of the “troubles”.
