I miss Rock Hill and it is about the only place I’d consider moving further south for (love the South, can’t physically take the heat anymore).
It is dumber than heck, but not illegal to flip off a police officer.
Now the officer is going to be in trouble, and the people of Rock Hill and/or York County are about to be out a bunch of money.

If an officer pulled over every driver that flipped the bird to someone...........well there just aren't that many cops in the world and we have drastically different ideas of road rage is. Someone cutting me off and slamming on the brakes is road rage, someone flipping me the bird is just an A-hole.

That’s what I thought. Of course, police officers will try to make your life miserable if you do it. If the guy had cooperated and had committed no crime, he would not be in jail.
I had a similar situation. Flashed my lights to passing motorists about a speed trap. The police officer saw me and pulled me over. He was honest about why he pulled me over and said he was going to find something to cite me on. He couldn’t and sent me on my way.
Thank you! My first thought was that it isn’t illegal to flip someone off else there would thousands of calls/complaints every hour of the day. Cop or not, disrespecting you doesn’t give you the right to retaliate, which is what this cop did. He lowered himself to the boyz in the hood who will go after anyone who “disses” them...pure thug reaction.
So, someone should be able to yell fire in a theatre or yell the n word in the wrong side of town? Disturbing the peace.

Any parent who would name a child “Ronkeyvius” is either an idiot or hates the child. I never cease to be amazed how brainless people can be when selecting names. A name follows the child from cradle to grave but people select a name with no more thought than goes into scratching their nose. I expect any day to see police book a suspect named Hideous Brainfart or Stupendous Phallus Brown.
