It gets us a liberal nominee that tells votes what they want to hear.

As opposed to a conservative candidate that tells us what we want to hear and after elected tells us why he can't do what he promised.

Perhaps most important is that Trump will not turn into a wimp after being elected, unlike most Republicans.

And he won’t be bowing to Arabs.

Or taking the oath in Spanish

I apologize for characterizing your position inaccurately.

Both of you had me confused :)

I am more than a little amused at the hand wringing both here and in the media.

It’s a lonely job, but someone has to confuse others.

Hey, if I wasn’t here...

Trump’s popularity is Obama’s fault.

The GopE will destroy Trump in the coming months. They know buy doing so millions who would have voted for him will simply stay home. Not vote. And that they'll, more than likely lose the election.

That's a far better outcome in their minds.

But they do matter. They matter in that they hold just enough influence to play controlled opposition and to ensure no real viable candidate outside of the globalist control gets into power. They are very much a viable tool for the elites.

The party is no longer about gaining power. It's about gaining favor for themselves and their families in the new system.

"These were the words America wanted to hear.".....

But that gets us what?

It gets us a liberal nominee that tells votes what they want to hear.

What it gets us is someone who is:

1) Not of the political class, which has ruined this nation over the last 50-70 years, but someone who has actually accomplished a LOT in his life - with his own money at risk, someone who knows and understands how to get the right people to do things fast and well, someone who sets goals and works like the Devil to achieve them;

2) Saying that he WILL do a variety of things calculated to improve things here, especially on immigration, which is THE BIG ISSUE of the campaign - and whether you agree or disagree with particular things he says or, even if you agree and think that he can't get them accomplished...at least he's willing to TRY, unlike the failed political class (which generally tells us to go screw ourselves);

3) Respectful of the average person and at least is expressing that he actually gives a damn about what concerns US, not the people who bankrolled his campaign;

4) Not beholden to wealthy/powerful donors;

5) Not at all intimidated by the lying, anti-American media.

OK, Mr. Trump isn't perfect - we ALL know that, even his most fervent supporters. Welcome to life, no one is perfect.

As far as being even a doctrinaire conservative - he's not there, either, so he's not my ideal candidate. Guess what, my ideal 2008 candidate, the guy who I thought was best for the country at the time, Fred Thompson, isn't finishing up his 2nd term, he's hawking reverse mortgages on TV to old people. He was pretty conservative, very much like a latter-day Reagan...and how much good did he do for the country? NONE, zero, zip, nada, NOTHING - because he didn't get past the GOPe games, let alone beat Obama. To do ANYTHING in politics, you have to first get elected. Most of the candidates running for the GOP nomination are simply too milquetoast to have any chance vs. the dirty Dems, plus they are very soft on immigration. I'll settle for someone who will do what I want much more often than not, vs. somebody like Cankles or Joe Biden, who will NEVER do what I want, thank you very much - because my ideal candidate (Ted Cruz) won't get the support of the GOPe, not soon enough and not to the scale necessary, to defeat the Dem. Trump needs no support, he owns it himself. Trump doesn't need the approval of the GOPe or the media, he doesn't care about them.

Remember the words of General George S. Patton, Jr.:

"The perfect is the enemy of the good."

Here is my corollary: "And the good is the enemy of the bad...so what does that make the perfect?"

Well...OK...If that is what you do...

I try to be as dispassionate as possible. It makes me far more lucid and understandable. It also makes decision making a deliberative process as opposed to kneejerk. But I do raise the decibel level of my voice.

But you can’t hear that....

Its an interesting juxtaposition between how the media (including Fox News,Krauthammer,Will),liberal democrats,Jeb Bush, Lindsy Graham, Rosie O’donald, and some >staunch? conservatives on Freeper< feel about Trump? Talk about your strange bed fellows.

TRUMP as President?... You must be crazy..

What is generally defined as insane (or, in your words, "crazy") is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.

I, like you, really like Ted Cruz. If he can become the next President, then for the first time since 1984, I'll actually have voted for someone that I want rather than to stop the greater evil.

However, I don't think that this can happen - Cruz won't get the support of the GOPe to win the nomination, and even if he does win it, he won't get much support and what support he gets will come too late to defeat Cankles or Biden. At this stage of his life, he hasn't done enough to be able to override the GOPe or the media, to go over their heads to the people. Oh, he'll give it a heck of a shot, but I suspect that he'd lose...

...which leaves us where, exactly? At the tender mercies of the Dems and their 50-year plan to fundamentally change the electorate of this country through immigration.

Look, Trump isn't perfect, not even close. But the perfect guys never get the nomination, never get elected to be POTUS - Reagan was the great exception in my lifetime. He would have a hard time now, with most of the WW2 generation gone. We have to abide by General Patton's dictum that "the perfect is the enemy of the good" - which in political terms means that we have to find someone who will give us most of what we want, AND who can WIN THE ELECTION. Trump needs no big money, no support from the GOPe, because he will self-fund; Trump cares not a whit about media support - because he regularly goes over their heads directly to the people.

Trump isn't doing this to make money - he has all he needs and wants for himself and 5 generations of spoiled brats. IMHO he, as the grandson of immigrants, understands that the culture and country that gave his family such a fantastic opportunity is being murdered from within by the political class and their accomplices in the media. I believe that he wants to disrupt them, undo their plans to further concentrate wealth and power into their hands (at our expense) and give it back to us - so that his progeny can have a decent country to live in, one with a large and prosperous middle class that gives them the same opportunity that he and his parents had.

COULD he have bad intentions, COULD he have plans to flee the country...yeah, that's possible. It is also possible that every male COULD rape a woman, because we COULD relatively easily overpower a female and have our way with her. But I don't think that Trump will do something so ridiculous and shameful, any more than I believe that all but a very small percentage of men are rapists. If that's the best you can do in terms of fear-mongering, then you need to go back to the drawing board.

Trump is a RINO at best a democrat at worst..
Even tho there is little difference between a rino and a democrat..

The difference is marginal..
TRUMP over the last 5 years or so.. has been a democrat, a republican, then an Independent, and then a republican again.. next week who knows..

He either don’t know what he is or is dyslexic..
I’m going with he is an Opportunist seeking out whoever he can BLEED....

A VAMPIRE?.. man that works.. Sorry using yer Crucifix won’t work on TRUMP..
He might be a Buddhist next week.. or even an Atheist..

The boy is controlling his Tourette’s real good..

Here are some other strange bed fellows,too.

Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Dr Ben Carson (long time friend), Jeff Sessions.

Trump met with Art Laffer and Steve Forbes to hammer out tax plan. They are not exactly what anyone would call liberal whachobirds.
