Tuesday morning felt normal to Monica Foy, a junior and English major at Sam Houston State University. The first thing the 26-year-old, who lives outside Houston with her husband, did when she woke up was check her Twitter and Facebook feeds. Both were full of people mourning the loss of Darren Goforth, a Harris County Sheriffs deputy who was murdered Friday night by a man named Shannon J. Miles, who came up behind him at a gas station, shot him in the back of the head, and then emptied every bullet in his gun into the officer.

Foy tweeted a dry joke about what she saw as the different ways society responds to different deaths: I cant believe so many people care about a dead cop and NO ONE has thought to ask what he did to deserve it. He had creepy perv eyes

Disastrously for Foy, the tweet quickly got screen-grabbed and began spreading among right-wing Twitter users, who immediately sought to amplify it. It found its way to Brandon Darby, managing director of Breitbart Texas, part of the far-right Breitbart website. Darby, as he would soon explain, quickly decided that it was on him to step in and defend the murdered deputys legacy against the threat apparently posed to it by a college students tweet. And as a journalist with a good-size megaphone, there was one obvious way to do that.

I think she fancies herself a Megan McCain, and thinks she can mouth off like McCain and get away with it. I wonder if she actually learned anything. I get the impression that she feels she’s totally without sin and it should all just blow over and go away.
Sub-normal ...
What was Her number again?
That was covered in the user agreement......
Twitter is a way for people to immediately tell the whole world the first thing that pops into their mind, before they can figure out it is stupid.
"toad face" and... "rat sneer?"
.
Number??????

I'll say...She fell out of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down...And yes, I'm Donald Trump...
Wanted to tell her she can use Mexico for a tanning bed!
She’s so fat, her memory foam mattress forgot.
Thanks....you’ve nailed every aspect of this perfectly and we do need more of this....much more.
She has just thrown away the “innocent” shield.
By her own words her twitter posting was a deliberate, thought out, act. Now she is upset that she is being held accountable for her deliberate act.
There should be another round. Retransmit her first quote and then follow up with her freely given admission that she tweeted it because she knew it was going to be inflammatory.
BTW, I have to wonder which one of her limited number of twitter followers retransmitted to one of his/her friends.
She’s so fat she has Euros in one pocket and Pesos in the other.
New York Magazine recently mainstreamed an interview with a guy who has sex with a horse.
Sam Houston State University is a noted criminal justice university, adjacent to Huntsville State Prison (Walls Unit) where all Texas death sentences are carried out.
She won't be there long.
Her father called into Michael Berry radio Thursday to say how sorry he was and how embarrassed he and their family are. ...he didn't raise his daughter that way.
Monica Foy on the other hand is enjoying her 15 minutes of fame shame.
He didn’t make any excuses for her.
Putting aside politics briefly, I would say the general lesson here is that anything that anyone posts on the internet, broadly defined (even including private e-mail) has the capability of going not only public but viral, so that one should always consider that remote possibility whenever one posts. The law is still evolving on this, but so far the standard seems to be that if Joe Blow or Wide Sally Wide post a random thought in some dark corner of the intertubes, it has the same power to reach a mass audience as if Wolf Blitzer had said it with that odd guy pointing at each word on a 3-d mockup, or the NYT had published it on their op-ed page, or the Dalai Lama had spoken it at the United Nations.
The upside is that we are now all virtually famous even if we don’t know about it.
See my post 75.
Ms Foy goes to college at a Criminal Justice University, next to a State Prison where all Texas executions take place.
Her father called into talk radio to talk about their family embarrassment, as the daughter enjoyed the negative attention.
She disappeared into fat-air.
She jumped up as high as she could once and got stuck there.
She so stupid he thinks Moby Dick is a venereal disease.
She so stupid she think that she can justify executing someone based on their eye appearance. But she so fat you can't tell her eyes are open.
Finally... she so stupid she votes democrat.
