It wasn’t about who received payments. Only half of the royalties go to the permanent fund. That rate did not change. This was taxes on top of the royalties, paid only to the government, not the people.

Not me. I moved back to Texas to a very business friendly state rules. I got a pay raise and a lower cost of living.

Like all things Palin, I’m sure these criticisms are rigged to make her look bad.

Furthermore, from what I recall, she was trying to punish Big Oil for NOT drilling; as no one outside of the good ol’ boys club up there could understand why not drilling was a good thing.

Not drilling on purpose is a good thing when you have a monopoly on oil and are artificially keeping the nation hooked on foreign oil to keep that monopoly. From what little I remember, she was taxing Big Oil because they weren’t drilling and the taxes were on them to make them drill.

Which led me to even more nefarious ideas about Big Oil, and questions that I can’t seem to get answered: who says that old oil wells don’t replenish themselves after a while? And if oil can be produced in a lab using vegetation alone, why do we believe only fossils create oil?

Like all things Palin, contradictory nonsense is made up to defend her.

When the overbearing profit taxes were lifted by the next administration, more drilling and investment happened in Alaska.

Oil companies invest where the can get a better return on their dollars. There is competition between locations. It is not a surprise the lower 48 boomed will Alaska languished during the time of this tax.

Big oil arguments sound silly to me. Especially while Anadarko and other independents were doing the same on the North Slope.

Why don't you explain your obvious huge problem with Palin's oil dealings instead of trying to bait me personally? Instead your PalinHate oozes over into weird troll-land.

Just be clear and explain your problem so everyone, including me, can try to understand your point. And try to squeeze in an answer to my extremely relevant questions about why old oil wells are miraculously refilling themselves and why Russia thinks Americans are crazy not to understand how oil is actually made. And it's not from "old fossils". Arguments about renewables are extremely relevant to discussion about Alaskan oil. And Palin.

"Like all things Palin, contradictory nonsense is made up to defend her"... wow. You wrote that as if you were ignorant of seven full years of freaky Uniparty and RINO attacks on the woman. Or if she were actually guilty of any of the things she's been accused of. LOL.

I thought that was where I started. A huge tax, applied retroactively, that made Alaska uneconomic for more capital investment.

instead of trying to bait me personally

You mean using your own phrasing of words you started with me in post 44?

why old oil wells are miraculously refilling themselves.

There goes more nonsense. That is not happening.

Russia thinks Americans are crazy not to understand how oil is actually made.

Russia oil production is only from sedimentary basins, just like every commercial oil production all over the world.

You wrote that as if you were ignorant of seven full years of freaky Uniparty and RINO attacks on the woman.

There are definitely nuts on both sides of support and attacks on Palin. I'm not a fan of hers, but then I base that on actual experience in Alaska Oil Production and the massive tax imposed.

A little reality for that concept. Oil drilling in Alaska was growing before ACES tax went into effect in 2007 and declined afterwards.

I’m not sure why you are out to slam Palin through me here on FR at this point in time, except that Trump is smashing the GOPe and all of the Dems (with the black and hispanic votes!) in the polls — and he showed interest in having Palin be in his administration, possibly as Energy Secretary, and this worries certain factions in RINO NWO jerk off land.

So I have to chalk up your concern-trolling here about Palin to political, i.e. RINO motivations.

As to drilling for new oil and ACES, I have no idea what it means that 9 wells were drilled in ‘06, 18 wells were drilled in ‘07, 17 wells were drilled in 08, with 9 wells drilled in 09. I have no way of putting those stats in context to corroborate what you say they mean.

But I do know the world’s economy is at stake over the possibility that we have been lied to for decades by Big Oil about the truth of sustainable, renewable oil reserves. And somehow I believe Alaska and Sarah Palin’s understanding of Alaska’s resources buck up against the Elites’ views on a carbon credit economy and the lie of fossil created oil:

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2012/03/what_if_oil_and_natural_gas_are_renewable_resources.html

If you can disprove Gold’s completely reasonable and entirely plausible assertions about how oil is created, go for it.

From the reaction of the Establishment liars to Trump in the past few weeks, I put nothing past them, including lying to the public about how oil is created for decades in order to game the most money out of people.

It is this corruption that I know Palin tried to fight in Alaskan Big Oil.

It would be absolutely wild if our entire economy could be rescued because we found out Big Oil has been lying about the idiotic notion of “fossil fuel” along with the other Big lies like climate change.

P.S. I’m not implying Palin thinks as I do, that oil is a renewable resource. I am saying Palin knows just how devious and corrupt Alaskan Big Oil boyz are, and she was trying to fight that corruption.

The idea that Big Oil lies about how oil is created in the same way the NWO boyz lie about climate change (both with huge financial motives) is fascinating to me.

Now your concern trolling about Palin, combined with what I remember about Rove’s boyz backing Prop 4 in Alaska in ‘08 and with Obama’s trip up there this past week — tells me that Palin has been right all along and there is some huge natural resource issue — either oil or gold or ? — at stake right now.

Thanks for alerting me. I once heard some DHS or CIA jerk say that if things got really bad for us economically, the Feds could always trade Alaska to China for our debt.

I don’t put the above past the Elites, either.
