You know exactly what I was talking about....if your on here to make people look foolish, then it’s turn around fair play...

I didn’t say anything about how conservative Trump was or wasn’t....you know why? It doesn’t matter what he is, I like him because of how he is, what he has done in his life...I see great things he can do for this country...just because he doesn’t have an I or a D or GOPee or anything else behind his name does not matter to me...I like the man, he’s the type of person you either hate or like, I LIKE HIM!!!

You can take your ‘conservative’ and choke on it, it doesn’t mean anything to me....and if that is what you base your vote on, no wonder we have what we have in office today, did you vote for him twice or was once enough for you? I didn’t vote either time for the jerk, I wrote my own name in here, I’m better than he is any day of the week...

while I understand your points, and do accept that you didn’t realize how you were coming across, there are a few things you should understand.
One, most people like DT becuase we are feed up to the hairline (how ever much of that we actually have) with career politicians who say one thing and do another. People, who ( and I don’t know HOW) manage to go to their home States and convince the feed up people that “things will be different” in you re-elect meeee....

DT is saying in public, what a great many say in their cars, living rooms, and at their dinner tables.

Two: A great many of us are Vets, Korea, Vietname...I know I’m showing my age here, but I’m too old to care anymore. We are seeing a Great Nation being taken down a path that we SWORE an Oath we would never allow to happen. The thing is...WE didn’t allow it to happen, THOSE PEOPLE did.

Three: Career Politicians LIE. I know Cruz isn’t “career”, not yet, but alot of the things that he says, we’ve heard time and time again, and we are sick to the death of it. Ronald Reagan, nobody took him seriously either, he was just an “actor”, and he turned out to be one of the greatest things that happened to our Country.

Am I totally convinced that DT will “save” this Country? No, but of the lot, he’s the only one saying things that alot of people are in private, and God knows what we’ve already got, and some of those that want to be President, are singing the same tune, and we cannot allow another Obama in there.

You have your opinion, as does everyone, and while I respect who you have chosen to “pick” I cannot agree with your decision.
All I ask is that you allow me to have mine.

Of course everyone can have their opinion.

I’ve said from the start I understand HOW (basically) Donald Trump happens.

I, along with others, just have a hard time at how conservatives trust him so easily.

I mean, to me, you can even hear him contradict himself if you listen closely enough.

“I’ll build a wall so no one who shouldn’t come across can come across. And I’ll deport everybody.”

“But you know, some of those are great people and they do jobs no one else will do. So if you’re a terrific person, I’ll deport you, but we’ll bring you back as soon as possible.”

Well I’m sorry, and yes I’m paraphrasing Trump, but all that is when you think it through is a form of backdoor amnesty. I mean, I appreciate that he wants to make people respect our laws and I appreciate that he wants to secure the border and enforce our laws. But at the end of the day, we’re still rewarding some of those people who broke the law. So why even go through the trouble, and yes the expense, of deporting the ones you’re just bringing back as soon as you can.

Then of course there was Planned Parenthood. It was “Defund Planned Parenthood!” Then it was, “Oh wait, they do some good things. Don’t defund them.” Then it became, “If they’re going to do abortions, don’t fund them until that stops.” Which is fine. Except I don’t know that they need funded in the first place, abortions or not. And it just strikes me as a guy who’s try to please everybody all at the same time.

So when people say, “He’s not a politician”- no, he kind of is. It’s just that he’s never actually been elected to office for anything. But mentality wise, in terms of wanting to be “liked”, in terms of saying different things, it seems to different crowds to gain their support, there’s not a lot of difference there, in my opinion.

I even saw that while he was against our going into Iraq and ousting Saddam, he was completely on board with going into Libya and ousting Gaddafi. Why? What was the difference?

He’s also hardly the first guy to start a war on political correctness as well. That’s actually been a Ben Carson thing for a while, although Ben isn’t my choice obviously. I think he’s a fine man though.

There’s probably many characteristics about Trump that are fine as well. But none of them make him a great candidate for president, for me. And that of course is my opinion.
