I go dip netting every year for salmon. If I don’t have to touch them with my hands, I won’t. I don’t fault him for this. Plenty of other things but not that.

What’s the deal with Salmon? Do they have some bacteria or something on them? I’ve worn gloves fishing because I’ve stuck myself with hooks. If he’s afraid to touch them, who the hell is gonna clean them?

I usually wear gloves when I fish. Something in the fish scales makes my hands swell up. But, if I was taking a photo for national publication, I certainly wouldn’t wear gloves.
I hadn’t even considered that in our own fish-eating habits here on the eastern side of the USA.
We’re nothing but petri dishes waiting for something nasty to be swabbed on the agar.
I clean with gloves on most of the time. Especially when doing a bunch, use ocean/river water to rinse off and keep going. I can catch up to 75 fish legally although I never have, but cold slimy fish is not the most pleasant thing to touch.
