We Should Have a 25 Percent National Tax on All Gun Sales

then a 50%, then a 75% then and then until no common citizen can afford a firearm.

If they could pull this off, watch how fast a $25 tax becomes a $2,500.00 tax.

Go for it.

Turns into a perfect “poll tax” case, which in turn can be leveraged to eliminate a bunch of other infringements and to establish stronger RKBA enforcement.

Looks as like Hillary is planning some mighty expensive vacations when and if she is elected. Remember her shabby vacation with Chelsea in Egypt.

Hmmm. Not so much since it wasn’t fraught with danger like when she was running and dodging sniper fire in Bosnia after de-planing. LOL! Doesn’t say much for the sniper. Chris Kyle, he wasn’t.

In lieu of that 25% national gun sales tax, how about a 100% forfeiture tax (to empty the CGI) and life imprisonment for treason?

Only if she agrees to a 25% personal email server tax

As an aside, gunsmiths and ammunition re-loaders may also be liable for excise taxes, depending on circumstances. Doing your own smithing for your own use, or re-loading for your own use, are not taxable.

I build many of my personal firearms from off the shelf parts. I have never sold them. I learned about the "Special Occupation Tax" when I was researching submission of a Form 1. Thus far, it's all for personal use. In time, I may opt to pay the tax and sell of the special builds.

I’m betting that while she is in favor of this tax on the instruments of a specifically-protected right, she’d go bat$hit insane if anyone proposed a similar tax on condoms, birth control pills, IUDs or abortions - for a “right” that was invented out of whole cloth.

It would go to prove (more than we already KNOW) that:

1) She’s not exactly real strong on protecting the Constitution;

2) She’ll do anything to direct attention away from her email scandal and Benghazi;

and

3) As Yoda would say, “The logic is not strong in this one.”

How about this! Buy Delton AR-15 upper with build kit, not a weapon so no 25% tax. Next buy 80% lower, not a weapon so no 25% tax. Finish lower and put your new tax free AR-15 with no serial # in the gun safe. No laws are broken and no 25% tax paid.

A tax would not stop the crazies that steal or buy their guns on the black market. I despise that woman!

A nation of gun makers and gardeners just like 1776. That looks like the only way to be free.

Wouldn’t we have to put a value on stupid before we could tax it? How do you measure stupid? Would the tax be a set amount per boneheaded decision? Suppose something was not recognized as stupid for a long time and then it became apparent, would the stupid tax be retroactive? Could we levy a tax on all the idiots who actually voted twice for Obama?

I’m not sure what value you put on stupid since it’s worthless, not priceless.

Some way should found to tax the most egregious examples.

The Clintons and Obamas would certainly qualify.
