...he doesn’t like the gang effort he’s seeing to tear down Trump and push him out. He says it’s like 12 against 1, and there’s no question in his mind that this is happening because he’s seen this kind of gang attack before.

Trump has proven he's the "biggest boy" of all and can handle it. In fact, as an article showed yesterday, he likes that position, the old Oakland Raiders us vs the world. It really does make him stronger.

Of course we all dislike the deception whereby some GOPe are hurling money and support at Carson just as a means to stall Trump---and no, I don't necessarily think Carson is in on it, and probably doesn't even know where some of the money is coming from. And of course, he'll take it. He should. But This was stated two weeks ago in two or three articles, that the GOPe sought to use Carson as a stopgap until they could revive Rubio or Bush, now that Walker is the Walker Dead.

It’s pretty clear that all of these worthless degrees were of the physiologist’s for all that he has ever done for society was to spew hot air and heavy thoughts....but NOTHING TANGIBLE.

On the other hand, Trump went through college to learn business and other tools for real life...not “heavy thinking” only.

Trump made something of himself while the “heavy thinker” only wasted paper and ink.

“curious about Savage”

When I listen to him, which isn’t often because of my schedule, I get the distinct impression that he’s pretty solid for Trump.

——I guess those three won’t get an invite to the inaugural ball-——

Does Free Republic still have the wherewithal to throw an inaugural ball bash?

Will huckabee bring his band?

The only exception I have seen is Lou Dobbs.
But then, he is a self admitted friend of Trumps.
And certainly no friend of the GOPe. He takes that
bunch to task every night.

I like Levin and agree with his take on this mess. I’ll also point out that the only way that many of Trump’s rivals can get any attention or limelight is to attack Trump as he’s the focus of the media spotlight. If they want any of the light, they have to enter it and either stand with him, as does Cruz, or to try to steal it away by attacking. Trump brushes them off like so many pesky flies. Now and then he swats and at times, seems a tad heavy handed about it, but again, that only refocuses the media light on himself. Free publicity.

If you have not read “The Art Of The Deal”, do so. I’m about half way through it and have gained tremendous respect for him. He’s tenacious and driven. He will tell people what he wants to accomplish, but not how he intends to get the job gone. He will work behind the scenes until things are in place and then make his moves.

I’m enjoying watching him campaign, but am hoping that he will stop sharing the limelight with his detractors by hitting back unless it is necessary. Just brush them aside like the pesky insects that many of them are revealing themselves to be, move on and consolidate the deal with his supporters. We need someone who can get the job done.

“Trump made something of himself while the ‘heavy thinker’ only wasted paper and ink.”

Trump himself made that distinction in the book. At least 30 years ago, he felt that while a lot of corporate CEOs went to Harvard, the real innovative entrepreneurs were going to Wharton. This is an important distinction. The anger at capitalists who pay themselves huge salaries while paying low wages for workers is different than what happens with entrepreneurs who take risks with their own time and money. Trump, for example, said then that he avoided going corporate because he did not want investors suffering for his mistakes. Does anyone know if that is still true? Thus he has won big, and lost big, but recouped and won again, but never a stockholder to suffer. I was outraged in 2008 when I saw my GE stock drop from $50 to $5, but saw that the 7 top GE executives continued to pay themselves wages ranging from $11 million to $22 million. Disgusting!!! Like when the begging auto executives flew to DC in their luxurious corporate jets. No shame AND no sense of responsibility.

Just my take

Knew a very successful businessman was a starting defensive player at a military academy on his way in, took engineering but was a natural salesman. Knew all about deals. Compared life and business to football. Can’t really score unless you can play. The only way to cheat is to throw the game

Know two guys from Wharton one I grew up with the other an in law. Both successful in life family connections socially and can converse with a sister in law as easily as a 10 year old nephew. Loaded. Very successful

Not the kind of guys that add on a flight to a schedule treating a united airlines jet like its a private Lear jet like what happened last week with the outgoing UAL prez.

Trump might turn out to be a disaster for all I know. But he’s like the Wharton guys I know. Very involved with people and with life ditto the naval academy guy

Did you all hear Dr. Savage interviewing Trump on his show 2 or 3 weeks ago? was pretty good. From what it appears Trump is pro gay but oh well seems the whole world is now except for Muslims.
