More to the point, why would anyone ask this question in a survey? Is it just me or is this scary? If they get the numbers up to 2/3 before Jan. 2017 would that make it ok?

I never heard of this Israeli Rabbi til now.
Like many biblical prophecy predictions, his statement indicated a Hebrew Messiah returning the holiday.
A bit general and very open to interpretation.
At any rate, the thing that gets me, is that there’s such a mass sense of tired resignation from our 330 Million countrymen.
If just 1%, ie: 3.3 Million morally indignate fired up citizens continually turn out to protest and muck the stalls of government in all 50 states and DC, then we could get a non-managed grass roots conversation going to change things.
Trump ‘ s in your face the facts truths have at least started people taking about deportation of illegals, particularly those who are criminal.
The ballot box is increasingly rigged.
Protest is last peaceful means of affecting constructive change and making corrupt government hear and fear the citizenry that pays their salary.

Usually the MSM considers any mention of martial law to be the kooky paranoia of backwoods militia “patriot” white supremacists.
However, it seems that this above the fold Yahoo News piece, casts martial law as a not-so-bad governance action, favored by republicans and some democrats.
Such timing of such a conditioning piece is concerning in light of the precarious economy, geopolitical turmoil, upcoming presidential election, and the relentless inhabitant of the White house, who still has so much more to do to “fundamentally change America”...

That applies to not only IQ, but also all too many educated beyond intelligence college graduates who lack reasoning, or understanding of history.
Our Republic has become as degenerated as it’s people.
It’s difficult to become completely resigned to how bad things are, knowing they can and will get Much worse.
And those of us who know better, will have a haunted conscience that “burns in the camps, thinking if only when had done something early on, before tyranny won”.
