For two decades, Harvard Law School has had its own Islamic legal studies program, established with support from the Saudi king

“....reflects a growing interest at Yale and other institutions in Islamic law, history and culture.”

Reflects a growing interest at Yale and other institutions in wealthy Saudi students who pay full tuition, not to mention those 10 million dollar grants.

Professor Anthony Kronman, a co-director of the center who was first introduced to Kamel by a Yale Law graduate who works as an attorney for the Saudi businessman.

Kronman said Yale aims to have the best program of its kind in the United States, if not the world, and one objective is to ensure the center’s work is integrated into the life of the law school.

As far as I can tell, “Islamic Law” is about parsing out the vagaries of how you can have sex with a child or animal with quickie marriages or under Halel (you can’t eat a sheep, for example, if its only been one day since you had sex with it).

Or the vagaries of how you can lie to or murder an infidel to best get you sex with your 72 virgins.

Islam is about lawlessness. Which is why the Lawless One wrote the Koran.

The only thing I am glad about is there is real law and a real God of Justice who will take care of this one fine Judgment Day (coming to us very soon.)

Sharia. Seems as though Yale had no choice.

Money.
The reason you will never hear criticism of islam on a campus with a fully-funded “Middle-East” Department.

“Yale officials say the Abdallah S. Kamel Center for the Study of Islamic Law and Civilization reflects a growing interest at Yale and other institutions in Islamic law, history and culture.”

Underlying truth: Yale officials want the $10 million, and likely there are add-ons that will benefit the endowment.

Is he the same Muslim who paid Obama’s tuition at Columbia?

Islamic law is bizarre perverted evil.

I could have told them that for less than 10 million.

Thank you for being one of the few OP’s on FR these days who truly understands the meaning of the word “Excerpt”.

Harvard already has a Islamic law center. For 2 decades. I believe funded by the same Muslim.

Is Yale keeping up with the Joneses? I don’t know, but now the Saudi royals have two nice ivy schools in which to send their spawn.

He can go, college by college and own them all, little by little.

It’s like this!
There is NO “Radical Islam”. It’s ALL JUST Islam and, if they adhere to the teachings of Mohammed, THEY’RE ALL RADICAL because, ultimately, they ALL want kafirs (that’s us) D.E.A.D.! Get used to it!!

If you genuinely want to understand the TRUE, VIOLENT, DUALISTIC, SCHIZOPHRENIC nature of ISLAM in order to become part of a solution instead of part of the problem that spells doom for Western Civilization (and, NO, that’s not too extreme a statement), you need to spend 40 minutes with Dr. Bill Warner here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjBDDC4wVxk

(Don’t be concerned when Dr. Warner mentions that he “sells” books. Though I suggest you sample the info in the first 5 minutes if only to get a sense of how thorough his research has been, slide out past the 5 minute mark for the red meat beyond. THAT’S where the really good stuff is.)

And this is ESPECIALLY for any antisemites who view the “Jewish Conspiracy” as the primary threat to your existence and are put off because the video was posted by a Jewish group.  Try to think of any nations conquered by violent, bloody Jewish jihad and send me their names.

After watching this presentation, if you STILL believe that Bush was correct when he called islam a “religion of peace” (it’s not a religion and it ain’t peaceful) and Obama was right when he recently declared islam morally equivalent or superior to the Christian Crusades, you are DEFINITELY a BIG part of the problem.

Gang, this is a WAR and it is one we dare not lose!

PLEASE SHARE THIS BEFORE THEY STRIKE OFF YOUR FINGER TIPS!!

I didn’t know we needed one of those here. America is supposed to be a civilized country. At least that’s what the liberals keep telling me.

I doubt if Yale *needs* the endowment. 2013 figures:

Harvard University (MA) $32,689,489,000

Yale University (CT) $20,708,793,000

Every donation has strings attached. Ask Mr. Trump.

They're not all made out of the goodness of the heart, especially in cases like this one.

Is this endowment to assist in the teaching of U.S. constitutional law, Sharia law or the middle east law of the jungle?

(How much has this guy donated to the Clinton Family Foundation in the past, by the way?)

And Yale accepted, didn’t they? Bought and paid for! Cheap at $10m.
