Because they have trusted “true conservatives” election after election and have been lied to and ignored. What have they got to lose? With Trump you get no GOPe and if he does nothing that he says he will do, what have they lost? No more taking chances with more conservative like candidates. It is like the boy who cried wolf.

Nobody said crony capitalism was ‘the way to go’. We have way, way too much of it now. You’re not suggesting Donald Trump said that I hope.
Trump did business based on what it takes to succeed. He doesn’t make the rules. He even donated to various political parties as well. That’s the way it’s done - in NYC anyway.
Nobody likes it. But it’s very difficult, of not impossible, to do any kind of major business there. That’s the way it is.
BTW, trying to compare Sanders to Trump is foolhardy. Apples and oranges doesn’t even describe it.
