In Wake of Pier 14 Shooting, Homeland Secretary Blasts San Francisco's Sanctuary City Policy
NBC Bay Area ^ | September 15, 2015 | Associated Press

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on Tuesday criticized San Francisco's policy of not cooperating fully with immigration officials, calling it counterproductive and unacceptable.

The city's sanctuary policy has come under scrutiny since the shooting in July of Kate Steinle as she walked with her father and a family friend along the San Francisco waterfront. The shooting triggered a national debate over immigration after it was revealed the man charged in the killing, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, had been deported five times to his native Mexico and was out on the streets after San Francisco officials disregarded a request from immigration authorities to keep him locked up.

"It is counterproductive to public safety to have this level of resistance to working with our immigration enforcement personnel,'' Johnson said during a talk at The Commonwealth Club in downtown San Francisco.

San Francisco's sanctuary law prohibits city employees from helping federal authorities with immigration investigations or arrests unless required by law or a warrant. It does not prohibit local law enforcement from informing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that they've arrested someone in the country illegally for a felony offense or a person with prior felony convictions. . .

All one need do is Google “organization chart for DHS” and they will be led to an organization chart that shows these agencies/units as the lowest subordinate entities:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBPE)
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
U.S. Coast Guard
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
U.S. Secret Service
Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

It amazes me this man could get up there and point the finger at someone else for “not doing their damn job.”

[Yes, there ARE a couple there that do execute their jobs —as much as they are allowed to]

Such bullshit. If the feds wanted the cities to cooperate with the real law, all they have to do is threaten the mayor with prosecution and withhold all federal funds until they comply.

Done deal.

Blah, blah, blah.

Until the mayor of San Francisco and governor of California are thrown in jail for violating federal law, this is just showtime for the chumps.

For the accomplished liar Jeh Johnson to finally say something like this, means that Donald Trump’s message is resonating even among Democrats, who are now crapping in their Depends as a result.

This is all political.

Jeh Johnson does not give a rip about the security of the USA.

It was oh so cool for these Leftists to support “sanctuary cities” up until their policies caused innocents to get killed. Now they run for cover. Typical. Being liberal means never having to say you’re sorry.

The Steinle family is suing the stupid San/Fran Sheriff (an admitted wife-beater)....

It's a good start.

Now the Steinle family should go after Jeh Johnson.....he stupidly told Congress he needed billions to "protect" Americans.

Thanks to Jeh Johnson, Kate Steinle is dead.

Johnson, San/Fran mayor Lee and the Bd of Supervisors. should all have been arrested and tossed in jail.....for being accessories to murder of beautiful Kate Steinle.

The Steinle family should go after the insurance carriers for San/Fran.....and the insurance carried by all the above-named individuals. All the San/Fran public (gag) officials, like the lawyers, should have malpractice insurance, as well.

==================================================

The Steinle's need to bring in the FBI.

OF INTEREST TO LAW ENFORCEMENT The FBI should interrogate individuals in official San/Fran administration for evidence of multiple schemes to falsify official documents to further fraudulent schemes, and the filing of official documents that were falsified. The FBI should investigate any and all official documents submitted by the administration for falsified entries.

Crimes might include--govt fraud, conspiracy, collusion, falsifying official documents (a felony), money laundering, tax evasion, extortion, theft, misuse of public facilities.

Homeland Security seeks $41.2 billion budget for 2016
February 4, 2015 6:30 AM By BioPrepWatch Reports

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced a $41.2 billion budget request Monday for the 2016 fiscal year.

The budget would improve the unity of effort at the department, Johnson said, focusing on “harmonizing DHS business processes.” Along with the budget, a new Common Appropriations Structure was also submitted to Congress, which would standardize financial planning, programming and budgets for all DH agencies, Johnson said.

There are five areas the department focuses on each year, and the budget is in alignment with those five missions, Johnson said. The first mission is to prevent terrorism and enhance security in the country by implementing security for the land, air and at sea.

The next mission is to secure and manage the country’s borders, and reduce the number of illegal immigrants and amount of contraband getting into the United States. The third mission includes enforcing and administering immigration laws and providing safe and secure detention of illegal immigrants in federal custody if they are a flight risk or a public safety concern.

The fourth mission deals with safeguarding and securing cyberspace, which impacts economic security. The 2016 budget would invest in technology and staff to reduce cybercrime and improve the security of federal network defenses.

The fifth mission, Johnson said, is to strengthen national preparedness and resilience so the country can prepare and respond to any type of disaster. <> Johnson said before Congress approves any funding for the next fiscal year lawmakers should approve funding for the current year.

“The President’s FY 2016 Budget provides the resources necessary for the Department of Homeland Security to further strengthen our efforts to fulfill our wide-ranging missions, while also being agile and vigilant in the face of ever-evolving threats and recent world events,” Johnson said. “But prior to acting on the FY 2016 Budget, I urge Congress to fully fund DHS for the rest of this fiscal year, as the current continuing resolution is disruptive, creates uncertainty, and impedes efficient resource planning and execution.”

NOW IS THE TIME TO OPEN THE SAN/FRAN BOOKS

San/Fran Mayor Lee controls billions in tax revenue.....local tax revenue, state tax revenue, federal tax revenue. San/Fran is a global tourist destination----the tax take from tourism (added to restaurant and hotel bills) must be in the billions.

THIS ITEM IN THE SAN FRANCISO LIB/ZIT BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S BUDGET REPORT IS A HUGE RED FLAG--- And I quote: "For the first time in fifteen years, the Mayor’s Budget Office did not ask Departments to make any reductions in their budgets. Although the current deficit projections look better than last year, we will still be forced to make difficult decisions to produce a balanced budget."

UT-OH Asking Dept's to reduce budgets? In a world renowned city that is teeming w/ tax revenue? Local revenue. State Revenue. Federal Revenue. Tax revenue from world-wide tourism alone must be in the billions.

Where is all the money going?

FYI---a govt official asking for agency reductions is the very same MO used by the Illinois govt official who stole $80 million tax dollars using a secret bank account to siphon off govt tax revenue.

OPEN THE BOOKS OF SANCTUARY CITY NOW---ACTION PROJECTS---(1) find the banks that handle sanctuary city municipal finances; (2) find sanctuary city insurance carriers; (3) find the number of identities the Steinle killer uses to ride the gravy train; (4) find sanctuary city agencies' fraudulent use of tax dollars.

Municipal Bonding is eternal taxation. Scratch the surface of bonding companies (like Goldman Sachs) and you'll find lucrative insider deals w/ politicians to get bonding business.

The SEC, FBI, banking overight agencies, and the IRS, would be interested in the activities of state/city entities WRT issuing city bonds..... AND the whereabouts of the bond revenue.

EMAIL---FBI TIPS PAGE https://tips.fbi.gov

EMAIL--enforcement@SEC.gov

Contact the IRS Fraud Unit

EMAIL Banking oversight agencies

============================================

Taxpayers should find out which banks are facilitating this.

<><> Which banks are designated the repositories of municipal tax dollars.

<><> Which banks are dispensing tax-exempt bond proceeds.

<><> Also culpable are vendors receiving ill-gotten bond revenue.

Arrest a few of the city queers and the problem goes away. If that doesn’t work, cut off federal funds.

Yeah, but I have a transcript of the secret meeting that took place before he made these comments:

SF Government: We have just been following orders from the WH about this Sanctuary City stuff. People are going to say bad things to us if you scold us publicly.

Johnson: Now, look, I know you’re doing what we told you to do. I’ll get out there and pretend to be annoyed. You just keep your yap shut. Don’t forget that I have ways of cutting off those federal dollars.

Agree in principle. But the WH is too cagey for that. They backdoor the threats lest one of the big wigs in the Administration gets caught on tape. Usually from unnamed flunky in the WH.

If Trump hadn't come along and made such a big deal of Kate Steinle being killed and forced the one stream media to look at it, does anyone believe Jeh would be talking about it now?

I don't.

If the obama administration was sincere about this (which they are obviously not), they’d simply promote a new law in Congress that withdraws all Federal funding from all so-called sanctuary cities and it would pass in the heartbeat as all Republicans would be onboard and enough Democrat loyalists to overcome a Democrat-led filibuster in the Senate. Said cities would instantly change their minds about the many benefits to their citizens of being a “sanctuary” city.
