Doritos releases rainbow-colored LGBT pride chips

Doritos chips just got a whole lot more colorful.

Doritos announced Thursday a new limited-edition flavor of chips, Doritos Rainbows.

The new multi-colored chips, inspired by the gay pride flag, come on the heels of a new partnership between the Doritos brand and the It Gets Better Project.

"Time and again, our consumers have shown us, there really is nothing bolder than being true to yourself and living life to the fullest," said Ram Krishnan, Frito-Lay's chief marketing officer, according to MarketWatch. "With Doritos Rainbows chips, we're bringing an entirely new product experience to our consumers to show our commitment toward equal rights for the LGBT community and celebrate humanity without exception."

However, the chips won't be available just anywhere. Anyone who donates $10 or more on the It Gets Better Project's website will be mailed a bag of the rainbow chips.

The It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 2010 with the goal of offering support to LGBT youth worldwide.

How about a company showing support for traditional marriage the way these liberal companies are showing support for LGBT marriage.

Spot on!

Unless they are a company that makes anal suppositories, I don't want to know about it. Actually, I don't want to know about it then, either.

Sheesh!

That would be hateful and divisive.

Do I really need the sarcasm tag here?

Chik-fil-a did it and sales sky rocketed. I guess others are just afraid of the homo nazis.

This is the equivalent of where Wile E. Coyote runs past the edge of the cliff and does not yet realize that only thin air is beneath him, so by the laws of cartoon physics he does not yet fall.

it’d be a shame if every rainbow bag of doritos was nothing but crumbs.

it’d be a real shame.
